Not necessarily. Plato doesn't come off as very F IMO. And Blaise Pascal was certainly an Existential thinker, yet was also a brilliant mathematican.

i am confidant that plato was an NF. he's not as straight up as your standard NT (and we can forget about the S's). all his writing was very much full of analogies, stories and myths made to romanticize and dazzle the reader. he was a philosopher but also an artist at heart.

anyways, with the test score, i think i need a bit more clarification. on my results, it tells me about the renaissance ideal and under that i am told that i am an interpersonal thinker. right after that, it tells me that i'm also an existential thinker. does that mean i'm an renaisance idealist primarily, or is that just the thing that they include with everyone's results?

This is intriguing. We should discuss this to greater length. ;)

"The Renaissance ideal

The leading thinkers of the Renaissance were not just experts in their own field. The renaissance scholar was expected to master all branches of knowledge.

With his insatiable desire to know everything, Leonardo da Vinci is often held up as the ideal Renaissance man."

Some people have a strong preference for one style of thinking, and find some skills come more naturally than others. Other people tend to adopt different thinking styles in different situations.

This test gives you an idea of what your current thinking style or styles are. But remember - the brain is a very adaptive organ. You should be able to improve your performance in any one of these categories with practice.

Interesting BBC quiz. Seems related to multiple intelligences.
BBC - Science & Nature - Leonardo - Thinker quiz

I'm an Existential thinker according to this quiz.

Very accurate. Only problem is that the careers listed are not entirely viable. :(
These things are very true about me, especially # 2 & 3.
Neat test!
