So Riva, do you have a potential explanation for the never ending up/down ladders?

Personally, I think for someone like Elfboy, it could mean he's very expansive, and for me, it might mean that my goals are very distant, or that I'm intensely absorbed in thought, perhaps.

I imagined a small, white, solid cube settled on the floor. Not too small but not too big (about the size of a chair or some other piece of furniture). Not in the center of the room but not pushed to the side. I find the color of it intriguing. I can see both the side and corner of it.

I imagined a brown ladder leaning against the wall, standing on top of the cube. It's an average-sized, wooden ladder that reaches to about 3/4 of the room's height. I prefer these kinds of ladders than the ones with the metal steps for your feet out of pure preference. It seems climbable.

I put a brown horse in the room more towards the center but not exactly in the center. It's roaming free but has a saddle. I like the horse's color, it's a bit darker than the ladder and the horse makes me feel happy.

I put a rain storm in the room. It covers the center and around it but doesn't fill the entire room. It's just dark clouds and rain, no thunder or lightning. The rain is neither heavy or light. I find the storm to be an opportunity for something but I'm not sure what.

Alright, now time to analyze the answers.

Answers:

Room: The room represents your universe. It is the world you live in and all the things around you. If you imagine it to be very small, you might a small town girl. If it is very large, you might be a city boy (born and raised in South Detroit). Basically, the room is a motif of how big you perceive your life and the world around you to be.

Interesting, I find myself in between small town and big city too since I lived in a small town as a kid and now I'm going to school in NYC. I'm adaptable to both but somehow fall in the middle. I'd say my world views are like this too, not too expansive but not too closed off.

Cube: The cube represents you. How you think about the cube reflects how you think about yourself.

Oh boy.

Size: If the cube is very large, you might think very highly of yourself; and if the cube is small, you tend to be meek. The size of the cube in relation to the room also reflects how large you perceive yourself in relation to the world. If you are a large cube in a small room… well, you’re a big fish in a small pond (to use a popular metaphor).

I like my answer so far then. I believe I'm modestly confident. Plus I recognize that the world doesn't revolve around me but I also don't let it push me around or close myself off from it. My answer seems pretty so/sx haha.

Location: The location of the cube within the room represents where you place yourself in the world. If the cube is in a corner you tend to be a shy person, whereas, if it is in the center, you are the center of your world. If the cube is a great distance from where you are standing, you might not know yourself very well. Interesting, I thought of myself as imaginative but then again I guess my imagination revolves around real-world situations. Although sometimes I think of like getting superpowers or becoming the world's only hope or something. But most of the time my imagination revolves around people and situations. I'm also pretty analytical in my head. But I didn't know I was supposed to be in the room. I guess I have a good sense of my person while not being too into myself. Glad the abstract part is right. I'm not structured in the slightest.

This is pretty true. Although I think [MENTION=5684]Elfboy[/MENTION] would disagree, but my real emotions usually don't surface for a long time and I just keep a happy face 90% of the time. I like how I view myself as pure and innocent too. I guess I do have more of a sense of childlike wonder or naivete with life that many lose at some point.

Ladder: The ladder is your goal(s) in life and your ability to achieve them. If the ladder is very far away from the cube then your goals do not really define who you are. If your ladder is close or even leaning on the cube then your goals are closely tied to who you are, which could possibly mean that your job/career defines your personality. If your ladder is very high (too high to climb) then it might feel like what you want is unobtainable, but if you can climb easily then you feel as if your expectations can be met. If your ladder is very short then you are easy to please (but you might also not have clearly defined your goals yet). If ladders are dangerous or foreign to you, you might not know what it is you want. What color and how you feel towards it might also suggest areas of interest you’re looking to pursue.

Interesting. I guess since my only real goal in life is finding a good man and starting a family then I would be pretty defined by that. Although with goals I tend to have more of a journey > destination mindset. Glad it's brown though - because I need stability in my relationships and life to keep me grounded.

Actually, when I read the description of what the horse was supposed to represent, I laughed. It seems, according my test results, that I don't like real relationships because they're too messy (eek...I crave emotional detachment). I like make-believe ones that I can control. The horse sits on the cube so that it is always within my reach and also maybe, because I am a writer and am constantly creating "make-believe" [toy] relationships within my novel, I need a whole field full of possible characters to draw from; so I keep them out in a corral so that when I need a new character, I just go get one and try it out for a while. My room wasn't so wide as it was long. There was a Rubik's Cube, solved, sitting very close to my perception. The ladder propped up against the far wall, and from under my feet to the four corners blossomed a field of various colored rather plain flowers. Then I was standing near a cliff, as far as the wall had once been, a storm in the distance.

I really didn't want to think about the horse. Too dynamic a character to imagine so static, like it could trot away at any second and my mind couldn't account for it.

A lightweight metal type of material, again futuristic, I imagine it could fold itself away pretty small, I feel fine, excited even.

it's quite spacious - reminds me of this mosque from istanbul, very airy open architecture.

i would say around 2.5-3 cubical meters... in relations to the cube? it's the only cube in the room so, so if the average cube in that room is about 2.5 meters / 1... i'd say perfectly average by this room's standard for cubes.

My room that I'm in is absolutely huge. The goal is to make the cube so large that despite, how big the room is, everyone can see the cube.

So I'm assuming that this means that I'm obsessed with success and prestige. This means that I constantly want to be the center of attention and want everyone to know that I'm amazing!

2. Ladder
Place in the room a ladder.
Where is the ladder; in relation to the room?; in relation to the cube?
Is the ladder leaning against anything? Is it leaning on a wall or the cube?
How tall is the ladder?
Would you be able to climb it easily?
What is the ladder made of? How do you feel towards this?

My ladder is along the side of my cube so that I can easily climb up the ladder. My cube is huge at this point and the climb up the ladder will be long, but eventually I will get to the top of the ladder and everyone will be beneath me.

Again, I'm assuming that I'm a ladder climber and want the money, power, and respect. This also probably means that I'm ridiculously ambitious.

3. Horse
Now place in the room a horse.
Where is the horse in the room?
How far is it from the cube?
How far is it from the ladder?
Is it roaming free or tied to anything? Does it have a saddle?
What color is the horse? How do you feel about this color? How does the horse make you feel?

My horse is right along the side of my cube. It can take me from place to place. I don't trust it to roam free right away, but after time and training, I trust my horse to roam free and be untied.

I guess that this means that I want to be close to my lover, but won't trust her at first. I guess that after time I will begin to trust my lover.

4. Flowers
First, are there flowers in the room? (if no, skip the #5)
How many flower(s) are there?
Where are the flowers in relation to the cube?
What color(s) are the flower(s)? How do you feel towards that?

There are no flowers.

Makes sense, I don't want kids.

5. Storm
Add a storm. Describe the storm.
Is it huge and all encompassing?
Is it in the room itself or do you perceive it to be outside?
What is the intensity of the storm? Is it a slight drizzle or a category 5 hurricane?
How do you feel towards the storm?

There is a heavy storm but it is outside and we are safe inside.

I guess that this means that I have a lot of problems but I keep them at bay, and don't let them control my life.

Apparently I'm the most egocentric person here since - as you can from my results in post #9, my cube was pretty much just as tall as the entire room, and it had a width that covored at least half of the space extending to the walls.
