Quoted from my recent thread:

I have noticed when participating in discussions on the forum/vent (and IRL) that I like to use other members/people as sounding boards to bounce my own ideas against. I will sometimes refine my ideas following their feedback, to the point that it might appear I am disagreeing with my own previous statements. Other members sometimes highlight a point I didn't consider, or their own statements lead me to examine my idea from another angle or perspective, and I then might refine or tweak my ideas accordingly, if I think they are sound and logical refinements/tweaks.

In other words, I thrive off of discussion with people, despite my leanings toward introversion. It energizes me to some extent, and it helps to get my mental juices flowing when people lead me to consider new ideas or different perspectives of my own ideas, which can be very exciting.

To some degree, other intelligent people are merely a utility for me (assuming I am intelligent myself). I use their own intelligence and ideas to help stimulate my mind to think outside of the boring boxes I find myself in when I've been inside my own head for too long without any intellectual contact with the outside world.

What Socionics type(s) do you think this suggests?

Kheledon, I actually think AGA brought up a compelling point (yes a clock strikes twice everyday ) about being possibly a Te-Ni.

Is there any better way to determine in socionics at least whether I'm more Te? Does my question even make sense?

The question does make sense, yes. It's a gamma/alpha question for Socionics. If you lead with a rational function (Te), you must be a j in Socionics. That would make you ENTj, LIE, Gamma. You clearly self-type as Alpha (based upon my distinguishing questions above). In Alpha, the only ENTx is ENTp, ILE. That means your "ego" (1st two functions) are Ne and Ti. Keep in mind, though, that Ne "talks" to your powerful, subconscious Ni all the time, just as your Ti talks to your powerful, subconscious Te all the time. Your ego functions always work together. Your id functions (Ni and Te, if you're an ENTp, Alpha) are often screaming for you to act. Your Ti has to control that. Te is explosively coming up with problem/solution thinking all the time (thus your restlessness). Your Ti tries to keep that in check, but sometimes fails (thus impulsiveness).

This post might help explain how I see the interplay between one's Model A ego and one's Model A id functions: http://www.typologycentral.com/foru...-feeling-function-fe-user-12.html#post2635152

You may have already read that, but it's the best theory I have yet expounded upon that explains this dynamic (as I see it).

This test has a trick (I noticed it long ago). Notice how even though you didn't get ESFP in the top 3 results, you got INTJ as the last possible result.

A LIE scoring as LII? That's odd.

Yep, I've been scoring LII and EIE sometimes lately, but I got LIE the first time I took this test. In this test though, one has to look at the last result that it gives too. This one always gives me LIE as the first result (hence, I regard it as the most accurate test at the moment). Regardless, I've experienced duality with an ESI Fi, and I experienced Benefit with an IEE-Ne at the beginning when I was discerning my type. All that has happened afterwards has only confirmed this typing.
