I happened to stumble upon this quiz.

I'm rather skeptical that sleeping position and personality are related but I took the quiz anyway having nothing better to do.

People who sleep lying on your stomach with their head turned to
one side

Hold strong beliefs and try to have everything done precisely the way they want them.
--About some things, yes.

Are tense, focused, and stubborn.
--About some things, yes.

Are passionate about everything they do.
--Not everything, but quite a few things.

Are outgoing and brash, they tend to shock those who know them well.
--Not at all.

Tend to be selfish. They are the most likely type to hog the covers.
--I don't like to see myself as selfish. I try to be considerate of others' needs when possible. Then again, I often see people asking for my help as an unwanted imposition. I do need alot of time alone and I like to be able to just do my own thing without others in my way. So maybe I'm selfish in that sense. I have a feeling I'd hog the covers if sleeping with someone. So yeah, maybe I am selfish.

Are sensitive to criticism.
--Unfortunately, yes.

Gravitate toward comfort and cannot handle tense or dramatic situations

--In general yes. It's not that I can't handle tense or dramatic situations, it's just that I much prefer not to deal with them. In general, they do make me feel uneasy, even if I can cope effectively.

This gives off the impression that you actually entertained the notion that these could be correlated. It's just something that's fun and not to be taken seriously.

Anyway...

People who sleep sideways with their arms by their sides

Try to get the most out of life but don't go to extremes just to "get ahead".
Are calm and rational.
Are giving and kind and make great friends.
Are easy going and trusting. They sometimes appear to be too trusting and naiv

We all know that online personality quizzes usually have questionable authenticity. What would you expect? But it always interests me 'cause sometimes it's spot on.
Well, in this case, I agree on most of it:

People who sleep sideways with arms outstretched.

Act with caution and are not easily deceived.
- Actually, I just tend to get along. But it doesn't mean I'm letting my guard down.

Have difficulty making decisions.
- Yes, true. Then afterwards I get anxious after making a decision.

Are usually stubborn.
-True again.

Are not overly excitable nor are they particularly sensitive.
-It depends on the situation.

I suppose I could see that...to an extent, but it does require me to make leaps of assumption and correlation.

not far off at all. the only thing i would argue is the too trusting part, but that's prob just because of past relationships. if i had a blank slate emotion-wise this would be perfect

-Meh, I just kind of do what I do, but I do tend to reflect on my actions after.

Have difficulty making decisions.
-Very true, especially morally.

Are usually stubborn.
-Kind of.

Are not overly excitable nor are they particularly sensitive.
-Maybe externally, but internally I'm probably thinking about a concern for a real long time.

Interesting...

My most frequent positions are-
Fetal/Tied Up

People who sleep tied up (hands or legs crossed, body twisted etc)

Are usually experiencing stress.
Are under constant pressure either to survive crises or to move forward.

People who sleep in the fetal position

Long for security, intimacy and joy.
Take relationships slowly.
Tend to look at the world in rosy colors, and treat people kindly.
Are sensitive, though they may present a tough exterior to the world.
May appear shy at times or when meeting people for the first time.

No surprises here. (though the rosy colors thing sounds a bit too Pollyanna for me)

I sleep half on my stomach and half on my side, hugging my pillow, with one knee out. Like I'm embracing someone. Except that I can't sleep that way with someone because it's too uncomfortable. Go figure. So this is the best fit:

People who sleep lying on your stomach with their head turned to one side

Hold strong beliefs and try to have everything done precisely the way they want them.
pretty much
Are tense, focused, and stubborn.
pretty much
Are passionate about everything they do.
pretty much
Are outgoing and brash, they tend to shock those who know them well.
more or less
Tend to be selfish. They are the most likely type to hog the covers.
Haha so true. The guy I sometimes share a bed with sleeps this way too, and we are always either taking the covers or taking up the whole bed. Fortunately spooning is a compromise.
Are sensitive to criticism.
Well, not so much anymore, as I've learned to separate criticism and judgment.
Gravitate toward comfort and cannot handle tense or dramatic situations.
Yep.

I do this when I catnap at school. But it's really not that comfortable for long periods of time.

Top three most likely:

On side with arms near me.
Fetal
On back with arms on sides.

you're really unpredictable with a deep sense of inner turmoil.
(sometimes)
occasionally your friends (if you have any) have said that you are cautious, relateable, and moody.
(yes.)
you were probably the opposite of your father growing up.
(don't know.)
sometimes your imagination gets the best of you. :)
(yes!!)
you are more lucky, intelligent, and beautiful than the 99% masses who only sleep in one position.
(well, can't help how I sleep I guess...)

excellent test!

Couldn't even find an accurate description of my sleeping position. I tend to sleep on the side but lying more on my stomach with my arms flailing or under the pillow. Tied up doesn't describe it well more than my body being somewhat twisted, but it's not quite on the side either. I tend to sleep more on the side when the cattard comes and wants to sleep near my stomach.

Strong beliefs yes, yet open-minded and accepting, I'm cool like that.
Are tense, focused, and stubborn.
Hmm,tense and focused yeah, but if I act stubborn that probably means you've messed up badly. One word: Run!:2ar15:
Are passionate about everything they do.
Are outgoing and brash, they tend to shock those who know them well.
Shocking people is my hobby,my kind of humor(shocking close ones intentionally, all others unintentionally):wizfreak:
Tend to be selfish. They are the most likely type to hog the covers.
Self-centered yeah I'm a E4 after all, selfish nope, I probably need to learn to be little more selfish, that's what I've been told at least.
Are sensitive to criticism.
I like constructive criticism, I think it's a matter of perspective:sometimes criticism can do you more good than positive feedback, (and someone's good intentions can f*** up your life, ups:blink:) besides if everyone agrees with me or compliments me it's gonna drive me crazy or I'll be bored to death haha
Gravitate toward comfort and cannot handle tense or dramatic situations.
This one's wrong. Comfort: meh. Sorry test no sp: I can survive in the wilderness, I'll even probably be better off there. :hexer: A 4 that cannot handle dramatic situations, are you kidding me, test? You know nothing!

I do notice sometimes I have an all or nothing attitude about certain things.
Are calm and rational.
Calm never even when it appears on the surface, rational: I'll say yes, let's leave it at that.
Are giving and kind and make great friends.
You just saying that test. Oh you.
Are easy going and trusting. They sometimes appear to be too trusting and naive.
Hey test who you callin' naive huh? And to think I trusted you. Oh snap! You win this one test.

I sleep on my back with arms to my sides. I also sleep on my sides with arms near. The first because it is beginning to be the more comfortable position.

Easily trusting? No.

Center of attention? No.

I'm rather skeptical that sleeping position and personality are related but I took the quiz anyway having nothing better to do.

This is an old idea taken from, let's say, Red Book or Reader's Digest.

But like all old things - for example, Sudoku - they become new again for a new generation.

I used to sleep on my back, which I considered the leader sleeping position, because I was a leader type.

Now I sleep in the position that's least painful. I just rotate away from pain all night long.
