Fyodor Dostoevsky
Your Literary Style Is 83% Realistic, 50% Philosophical, and 83% Psychological!

Fyodor Dostoevsky is the classic example of a psychological writer. All of his characters are deeply introspective and his prose focuses upon their thoughts and feelings in regards to their situations. His writing is very cerebral and devoted to describing the feelings of horror and anguish that can come over someone when confronted with a terrible conflict. Usually his characters are put in situations dealing with murder or death and they are forced to examine themselves as a result. His writing is also realistic and deals with real situations in real settings. Dostoevsky's cerebral, realistic literary style best resembles your own. Your characters are just as introspective and tend to deal with the same mental conflicts as Dostoevsky's.

Some stories you may enjoy: Crime and Punishment, Notes from the Underground, and The Brothers Karamazov.

F. Scott Fitzgerald

Your Literary Style Is 67% Realistic, 33% Philosophical, and 17% Psychological!
F. Scott Fitzgerald was a realist, and he is characterized mostly by his focus on realistic character development and setting. Your writing is also primarily realistic, opting to tell a good story and focusing on character development without bothering to delve needlessly deep into the minds of the characters. Like Fitzgerald's works, your writing focuses on good story-telling over intellectualism, symbolism, or philosophy. This makes your writing very concise and clear, without bogging it down in the thoughts or feelings of the characters. In short, your writing is primarily identified by its purity and realism.

Some stories you may enjoy: The Great Gatsby and "The Diamond as Big as the Ritz".

Franz Kafka

Your Literary Style Is 0% Realistic, 67% Philosophical, and 83% Psychological!
Franz Kafka's literary style is so distinct that an adjective has been coined from his name to describe similar styles. That adjective is "kafkaesque". Your own writing, obviously, is kafkaesque. Kafka wrote very strange, horrifying stories. His most famous novella involves the transformation of a man into a giant insect. His works are not only fantastic and symbolic, but they are often very philsophical and thought provoking. Many of his stories are allegorical or metaphorical, focusing on the nature of spirituality and the absurdity of life. Not only that, but his work is often intensely cerebral, delving deep into the minds of his characters and examining their psychology and the motivations for their actions. Your writing follows Kafka's example by being highly philosophical, psychological, and surrealistic.

Some stories you may enjoy: "The Metamorphasis", The Castle, The Trial, and "A Hunger Artist".

Albert Camus

Your Literary Style Is 100% Realistic, 100% Philosophical, and 100% Psychological!

Your literary style most resembles Albert Camus'. Camus was a French writer who was heavily influenced by existential philosophy. All of his work is very philosophical and concerned with existential issues such as the meaning of life and the possibility of morals without God. Camus was also a very cerebral writer, examining the thoughts and feelings of his characters in order to bring out his existential philosophy. His characters frequently ponder their situations and the absurdity of their lives, making them very vivid psychological portraits. Unlike most philosophical writers, of course, Camus' style is also very realistic and tends to avoid allegories or symbolism in favor of a true representation of existence through a study of a character's psyche. Your literary style is similar to his because your stories are realistic, psychological studies which emphasize intellectual issues in philosophy.
Some stories you may enjoy: The Stranger, The Plague, and The Fall.

George Orwell

Your Literary Style Is 33% Realistic, 50% Philosophical, and 33% Psychological!

Your literary style mostly resembles George Orwell's. Orwell mainly wrote allegorical or symbolic stories, often with a blatant political message. His writing was highly fantastic and involved strange settings and odd scenarios, such as futuristic negative utopias or talking animals. His writing is mostly characterized by its allegorical nature, and its rejection of traditional realism. Similarly your own writing is often abstract, strange, and allegorical. You don't focus much on psychological issues, but tend to be more subtle, letting the symbolism or the strange story speak for itself. Your style is very straight-forward, not letting itself get bogged down in philosophical issues or thoughts, but instead focusing on crafting an interesting, intriguing story.

Some stories you may enjoy: 1984 and Animal Farm.

I don't know if this applies to only fiction or not. I mostly write non-fiction, descriptions of people, interactions, and events, or some poetry about something I find striking. I do like to touch upon metaphors and symbolism or some of the more philosophical or psychological stuff through that.

I don't do as much creative writing as I used to though. :(

I straddle the line on realism making me torn between Kafka and Camus.
