While they bare similarities, Jungian functions, MBTI functions, and socionics functions being conflated as though they are the same things tends to breed confusion. Bleh.

None of those questions did cognitive functions justice, but of course tests tend to be passed off for the sake of expediency and rough guidance. I repeat, bleh.

Also, Marm, what do you mean by we "became"?

It is...I usually test high on Fi. The Fi on this test sucks.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

They also equated "empathy and compassion" with Fe. Of course there's NO WAY empathy and compassion could come from any other source!

I mean in this thread is the first time I've ever been typed ENFJ by a Jungian/MBTI cognitive functions test, though I feel that the Socionics ENFj description fits me quiet well.

And as far as I know you usually type as INFP.

They are tagging Fi as strong feelings of good or bad, and I don't relate to that description of FI.. but I know I am Fi over Fe. I also know that I could much easier organize any mess than conjur up a memory of smell, touch, taste, etc. Pretty certain I'm ENFP.

I think something may be wrong with Fi/Fe questions on this test.

Luna's curiousity about her Fi being so low only compounds this theory for me.

OrangeAppled's Fi also seems strangely low for an Fi dom.
Not only this... but my Ne score is twice as high as my Ti score. I'm usually extemely even on those. Ti=/=logic.... it is more like being extremely picky about using the right word to describe each function on this test

So ya, Ti and Fi need some fixin'.... and Fe. Well actually it should all be reworked a bit

Huxley: Yeah I don't do the strongly "good" and "bad" thing since I'm more of a consequentialist, though not entirely.

I tend to see good and bad in shades of gray depending on the context of the situation and why the person is doing what they're doing, et al.

I also know that good people do "bad" things for a plethora of reasons.

I think because I said I like to help people and that compassion and empathy are more important to me than right and wrong that it gave me high Fe.

The Introverted Intuition (Ni) function implicitly recognizes that one term can have multiple meanings, and allows the individual to disconnect themselves from the concept of 'objective truth'. This allows those with strong Ni to 'rewire' the connections that form a concept and test it from new and unique angles. This is why the Ni dominant types are often called analysts: they can pull apart an idea and test each individual piece to see how it changes the whole.

Haaaaaah, that sounds exactly like how I operate, kind of.

    ...

This test sounds like it was made by simulatedworld.

If it was made by SimulatedWorld, he's been wrongity wrong about me all alongity long.

Oh, and also to Huxley: I think my Se/Si scores are fine. I'm closer to being a Sensor than some Ns I do conjure up sights, smells, tastes, et al better than I organize things.

My T scores are usually the lowest. This is not news.
