Default Personality Inventory: Studies in Judgment and Decision Making

    Personality Inventory

A test from California State University of Fullerton, peep it out. My results seemed pretty accurate

    Your Profile:
You have a great need for other people to like and admire you.
You have a great deal of unused capacity which you have not turned to your advantage.
Disciplined and self-controlled outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure inside.
You prefer a certain amount of change and variety and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations.
You pride yourself as an independent thinker and do not accept others statements without satisfactory proof.
You have a tendency to be critical of yourself.
At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.
At times you are extroverted, sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary, reserved.
While you have some personality weaknesses, you are generally able to compensate for them.

I'm gonna call BS on this test. I got the same result as you did. I'm awaiting to see what others get. Because the following I do not agree with:

Disciplined and self-controlled outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure inside.
At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.
At times you are extroverted, sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary, reserved.- Well, it's either one or the other.

Those are classic Forer Effect statements.

Even if it's "fake," I'm going to roll with it.

    Your Profile:
    * You have a great need for other people to like and admire you.
    * You have a great deal of unused capacity which you have not turned to your advantage.
    * Disciplined and self-controlled outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure inside.
    * You prefer a certain amount of change and variety and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations.
    * You pride yourself as an independent thinker and do not accept others statements without satisfactory proof. (tend to think that others' definitions of "satisfactory proof" is way too high and that they miss out on good information as a result)
    * You have a tendency to be critical of yourself.
    * At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.
    * At times you are extroverted, sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary, reserved.
    * While you have some personality weaknesses, you are generally able to compensate for them.

In any case, I didn't immediately recognize these as Forer statements. The only one that crossed my mind as curious was the last one; I was sure that everyone probably got that statement in their results. I guess I was right

They are THE original Forer statements. They just took out the last few sentences.
I have to admit though that I only recognized them because they sounded familiar, not because I thiught: "Wow, that´s way too generic". The shame!

I don't think it's necessarily the Forer Effect.

I suspect that a person with average to high intelligence, average to high conscientiousness, and average to high humility/self-awareness will score this way because it accurately reflects them.

Not everyone is going to score the same. I guarantee it.
