I tried a bunch of different samples and got different results, but most often got David Foster Wallace.

I knew very little about him or his work, but I've just looked it up and I find it to be very intriguing.

So.....Off to investigate this new rabbit-hole.....

Thanks a lot, Wolfy! See what you started! ;) :D

Dan Brown
James Joyce
William Shakespeare
Margaret Atwood (when I went to literature club poetry critique sessions, I was recommended to check her work out)

Dan Brown
James Joyce
and Leo Tolstoy (writing about an experience in Russia could be what caused this)

1. Chuck Palahniuk
2. Dan Brown
3. Vladimir Nabakov
4. Chuck Palahniuk

So, apparently I write like a Chuck Palahniuk sandwich....or something.

Kind of 'meh'. I write like me, damn it.

A lot of Chuck Palahniuk - Seems to come up when the pieces submitted contain a fair amount of swearing and dark contemporary themes. Transgressional fiction, definitely, which completely makes sense.

Jane Austen

Cory Doctorow - Comes from late-adolescent character voices.

J.D. Salinger - One of the results came from a fantasy piece written from when I was eleven, and it was pretty bad. Not the author I was expecting.

William Gibson

George Orwell

Stephen King - A few of my blog posts.

Dan Brown - From a blog post of mine about Christianity. Huh.

Douglas Adams - Came from a slightly hyperactive, sarcastic and spontaneous narrator.

I think this program compares various works of authors to the inputted texts. It only recognises familiar words and such, which I found from experimentation. Not to be taken seriously, but it's pretty fun nonetheless. :)

And apparently, this post is like H.P. Lovecraft.
