I got mercurial when I took the test, but a few other styles are good at describing me as well, such as the vigilant and inventive.

This is not me. At all. The high emotion and vivid experience, yes. The clothes, perhaps. But the joie de vive? The grounded sensation? I tested like an ESTP. *shrugs* Maybe a reflection of some internal roiling? I find it interesting that it's saying I'm ESFJ, INFJ, INTJ/P, ENFJ. I see the "flamboyance" as a red herring.

The ONLY part of vigilant I strongly relate to is that of perceptiveness - They are good listeners, with an ear for subtlety, tone and multiple levels of communication.
I can relate to parts of autonomy and fidelity, but not to the degree in the description.

I'm ENFP.

I did the test. The test says that I'm Dramatic (63%), Self-Confident (61%), Leisurely (61%). I don't really identify with that Dramatic part thought. Self-confident - maybe, Leisurely - Yes.

I did the test second time: Leisurely 56%, Dramatic 50%, Sensitive 50%, devoted 50%

So, I have no idea which is right for me...

I don't really identify with the Dramatic/Vigilant ones. I do identify with the Conscientious one though. So according to the test, I'm Conscientious/Dramatic/Vigilant. According to my own judgement, I'm Sensitive/Inventive/Serious, with Conscientious being the fourth one.

The funny thing is that in school I always got comments like 'She's very conscientious' on my report. And yet here it's my lowest. LOL. I don't think I've changed that much...

The ones that scored more than 50% do seem to apply to me in varying amounts, though I'm not so sure about the order.

I read the descriptions

Just looking at the poll and not reading the definitions, I chose inventive and serious because those 2 words describe me best.

Though I'm not sure that jives with Oldham's definitions. I probably should have scrolled down a bit first.

That sounds like a very interesting Oldham combination.

After reading the descriptions, I felt like I could relate to several of them at least 50%.
Serious and Solitary standout as the ones I relate to the most.

I used to be incredibly Aggressive when I was young.
I am Artistic in that I am a songwriter and singer.
I am Conscientious in that I am perfectionistic and when I do something I do it well,
but I have a feeling he is referring to someone who has a lot of energy and gets a lot done, and that's not me.
I am more Idiosyncratic than I care to admit.
I am very much Inventive. I have been coming up with ideas for inventions since I was a kid.
Surprisingly, I related to Mercurial quite a bit. I was thinking it was a P thing, but I guess not.

I've always wondered how many INTPs have Asperger's. Probably quite a large amount, comparatively to other types. There remains a possibility that I may have a mild form of it.

On this Asperger's message board I frequent the most common type is INTJ, followed by INTP and ISTJ, and then INFJ and INFP.

Reading the descriptions, I think Idiosyncratic and Sensitive should be a bit higher up for me, and I could also relate to Artistic and Serious (although doesn't look like those two are part of the online test???). Self-confident should be a bit lower. As for the others..I don't know. 'Dramatic' makes me laugh, as externally I'm not dramatic at all, even though I might be tumultuous within (but I do show emotions amongst loved ones and friends...so maybe I am dramatic. ;-).

The descriptions I read that definitely do not resonate - Solitary, Aggressive, Vigilant, Devoted, and Conscientious.

I don't know....I don't really like any of the descriptions. I can't say any single one or two is really me - maybe a combo of 5 or 6 though??
