    Your Result: Philadelphia

Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever journeyed to some far off place where people don't know that Philly has an accent, someone may have thought you talked a little weird even though they didn't have a clue what accent it was they heard.

If I test honestly, then "feel" and "fill" sound almost the same when I say them. Same for "pin" and "pen". However, I hear a difference & feel like I am saying them differently....they just come out very close.

    The West
Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

It put me in "The West," with a very high Midland rating. Makes sense, as I've more or less split my life between Northern California and Chicago. (People very occasionally tell me that I have a little bit of a Chicago accent, especially when I say "Chi-CAH-go," but it's not very pronounced at all.)
