    Default Clarify Your Values

This is an exercise to help you clarify what your values are. This will allow you to live your life with a greater focus on the things which are most important to you. Here is how it works. Below is a list of words. You may wish to print this list out, though you don't have to.

First, go through the list and circle or write down any word that taps into some internal passion. Some words you read may seem important, but they don't really grab something inside of you. Ignore these types of words and only circle or write down the ones that really grab you. After you've gone through the list you should have about twenty words that give you a good gut reaction.

Next look at your list of about twenty words and narrow down the list to the five most important values to you. These are the five values that really resonate the most with you when you examine who you are and who you want to be.

Lastly reflect upon your life. Look at how these values are expressed. Look how you can work to bring your main values into your life more. Remember this is an exercise about clarifying your values and giving them focus in your life.

This is an exercise I did myself several years ago. I've had people ask me about it on the forums, so I've finally gotten around to posting it. My five values are

    Challenge
    Collaboration
    Creativity
    Have Fun
    Trust

    i like this!

it was really hard for me to narrow it down, especially since a lot of the ones i picked were pretty repetitive, but my 5 were:

    discover
    feel good
    free spirit
    honesty
    unity

Yeah I found that it took me quite a while to narrow it down to just five.

I'm a little teapot, short and stout. Here is my handle and here is my spout. Every time I steam up, I give a shout. Just tip me over and pour me out.

There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.
