Seems correct, I've always considered myself as a realist the most.

Good test.

Some of the choices were a little weird (lol @ "Farmers and Journalists." :) )but I enjoyed taking it, and got a pretty accurate result.

Didn't realize each answer had to be ordered from 1 to 5 so had to do the whole test twice.

Analyst - 61
Pragmatist - 59
Realist - 54
Idealist - 50
Synthesist - 46

Yikes! Synthesist/Pragmatist. The description sounds weird... Like a dysfunctional problem solver who doesn't care how crazy and unconventional his ideas are so long as stuff gets done. :D

I thought I would have scored higher on Idealist, since it seems to go with NF... I guess not.

They were all surprisingly close. Though realist is over 60.

edit: the description of realist makes sense
Realists take an empirical view.
Their world consists of what can be felt, smelled, touched, seen, heard, and personally observed or experienced.
They are interested in concrete results And, at times, may appear to be too results-oriented.
In thinking styles, the realist resembles the analyst.
Both are factual and focused on concrete facts, but unlike the analyst,
the realist will finally run out of patience and become frustrated with the analyst's endless search for data

Realist or Realist/Idealist combo.

I'm not entirely sure I agree with the questions because of their work-oriented focus. In work situations, who ISN'T going to what works best?

What you think works "best," may be different from what someone else thinks.

It's subjective, yes. However, regardless of this subjective perception, who isn't going to follow it?

That was rather interesting....apparently I'm one of the "flat-liners". My scores are as follows:

Synthesist - 52
Idealist - 42
Pragmatist - 59
Analyst - 59
Realist - 58

None of them are above sixty, but the top two are tied....Analyst / Pragmatist. Just by reading the descriptions, I imagined I would score relatively high in Analyst, Realist, and Pragmatist. I was partially right.

Neat.

If memory serves me, the pragmatist looks for the most expedient way of doing something.
That's not exactly the best choice for all people.
It certainly wouldn't be my choice.
If I locked my keys in the car, the fastest thing to do is smash my window and get in.

I think I'd choose another way. :D

Does the pragmatist sound like you?

well I think he's talking about the actual question that had an option to pick "I would choose the best way of doing the task." Which wasn't the answer for the pragmatist which was, "I would choose the fastest way of doing the task."
I actually kind of paused on that one, too... figuring that everyone would pick what they thought was the "best" way.

I got 56 for Sythesist, Analyst, AND Realist.

Then 51 for Idealist and Pragmatist.

So I'm a Sythesist/Analyst/Realist? Or I just don't have a clear preference for any particular one...

Edit: By going back and changing just one question that I had thought about in a wishy-washy way for a moment, I then show a 1 point preference for Realist.
