I can get drastically different scores, particularly on Conscientiousness, depending on the test. Some word the questions extremely poorly.

Same here, except replace conscientiousness with openness. I find that longer tests seem to do a little bit better accuracy wise (though your patience gets tested with some of the really long ones).
