Even with all the planning done ahead of time it could take me two hours to get through the ordeal and I'd be near tears with exhaustion and frustration by the time I had the kids back in their car seats and the groceries in the van.
Ah gee... that stinks. I know Rose had to deal with the same things (she got stuck with the bulk), taking more than one child to the store was just... well, you already know it all. And you are so right, that the budgetary concerns demand much more planning to make things work; you could not afford to be as flexible.

(But I suppose this goes along with the test not necessarily defining J/P well, based merely on a few basic shopping habits. Even a P would have to act "J" in your situation.)

Now I just log onto the website, make my order, pick Don up from work, go to the service desk, pay the cashier, wait for the guys to get my stuff from the coolers, help Don put the groceries in the van, then let he and the kids bring it all in and put it away.
That sounds SO much better for you, and less apt to drive you crazy. I'm glad you found something that works for your family and does not uber-stress you out in the process.

"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Strategist. Of all the dimensions, I least expected to deviate on the one corresponding to J/P.

It must be the 'shopping for one' and I-could-care-less-about-sightseeing factors.

Hmm, this J/P division has attracted most criticism so far.
