"How dreadful!" cried Lord Henry. "I can stand brute force, but brute reason is quite unbearable. There is something unfair about its use. It is hitting below the intellect." ~ Oscar Wilde - The picture of Dorian Gray
How are "comforting other people who feel hurt or upset" and "forming my own explanations of how things work" mutually exclusive?
Couldn't one simply enjoy working with objects and people?
One of the reasons why I think I usually score as T rather than F is because of questions like
"Compromise to keep the peace", and "If they argue over small differences of opinion". I personally enjoy arguing over stuff like that. It tells me more about the person I am arguing with. Sometimes, compromise just isn't the answer.
I am interested in what will actually help people, not necessarily what will make people happy in the short run.
