The history of MBTI Central (outline):

There once was a man from Calimandorn,
Who spent all day watching porn.
    He said to himself,
    "Hey, I need something else,"
    And MBTI Central was born.

    Bullet History:

    • NCentral closed.
    • And influx of non-INTPs, and a few dissatisfied former INTPc members, migrated to INTP Central.
    • The Administration of INTPc feared the new immigrants.
    • Two lowly mods came up with identical plans to "solve" this "problem" for INTPc.
    • One of the INTPc Mods decided to run his site, the other decided to let others run his site.
    • Clearly, Mod #1 was more ambitious than Mod #2.
    • Mod #2's site was the first incarnation of MBTIc.
    • Unfortunately, the recent immigrants of INTPc, and the disgruntled members of INTPc, didn't like the original MBTIc, which caused it to hover in obscurity.
    • The conflicts at INTPc grew greater still.
    • Mod #2 decided to start a new MBTIc while becoming totally involved in its development this time (eg, Mod #2 learned a valuable lesson).
    • Hence, in April of this year, the new MBTI Central was revised, pushed, and developed into this little old site you have before you today.

I appreciate the summary, as well. It seemed that so many of you seemed to already knew each other on such a new forum. Now I know why.

I have to disagree with this bullet point. I think there's more to it that just a simple dislike of MBTIc v1.0.

I found the concept interesting (and I am referring to getting specialists in different fields of knowledge to basically run and populate with information each subsection of the forum).... but as soon as I visited the first time, I felt as if the concept was far too ambitious for the resources that were available.

Especially if there was no pay involved.

Basically, it was a large uncompensated timesink for people with expert knowledge, and many of whom (if they were INTP typesm, or even INxx) are probably far more interested in following their own paths and studies and expanding their own knowledge, not necessarily answering questions and teaching the occasional visitor.

Well, it's nice for even the rest of us. I haven't even been an INTPc a year yet, technically, so there's a lot I do not know... and I am sure even some other fairly involved people are in the same boat.

Feel free to correct my statement with something concrete and more precise.

I spent less than five minutes writing that; and obviously, it's my viewpoint.

I encourage you to create your own history in order for folks to read and learn.

    Very informative -- thank you.

The little cadre left at INTPc is going to turn into a tribe of Reavers, and then they'll come for us with corpses strapped to their posts, won't they?

I'm still waiting for a few NCentral old-timers to come wandering back. Indranizia popped in briefly, but it'd be nice to see Philonightmare, Christi, and some others reappear

That would be nice. Do Philo and Christi know this is up?
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

Are we sharing feeling on the Summary?

I thought the summary could have been told in the style of Tolkien to greater effect.
