    I do.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

I think they should be allowed as avatars but not signatures. I don't think there's reason to make signatures any bigger or more obnoxious than they already are.

I think that should be true of signatures in general, not just animated ones. I try to keep the pictures in my signature landscape-oriented because that takes up less space. But I don't think that necessarily has anything to do with animation.

For example, maybe one day I'd like to change the picture in my signature to something along the lines of this:

Small, not distracting, landscape rather than portrait. doesn't take up a lot of space.

I think long signatures in general should be discouraged.

I don't suppose there's an option for each individual to toggle animation on/off?

TBH, animations can get really spammy, especially if someone has a huge flashing gif in their signature and makes five posts in a row...

I know this isn't the point, but the flowers in your signature are lovely.

Thank you, I am quite partial to them myself.

What about download time onto mobiles and suchlike practicalities? Waiting for pages to load and when it's a frequent poster so you've seen it before, could be tedious.

I don't mind non-animated signatures but I do find moving things a distraction, especially that wretched crawling fly one.

But then again, I haven't even managed a profile pic or an avatar or a signature yet, so what do I know? I wouldn't even know where to find the menu to upload such things. Maybe it doesn't exist on an iPad... :-(

I was scared my signature wouldn't have animation but it's still there thankfully. Doesn't seem disabled.
