Hey! You're worthy of a bowling trophy!

This system is a decent study (imo) on how people react to recognition. I am a bit surprised that more people haven't gotten carried away with the rating system. Maybe there's hope for us after all.

That's a damn good point Jen. I hadn't thought of it from that POV.

I do like the new system though. It feels closer round here. More cohesive. More like a group of mates discussing stuff than just cold avatars...or perhaps that's just because I've been in the chatroom too much.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

Here's a theory: suppose the NT's aren't discussing or giving opinions or being intellectual as much as they would've done before there was some kinda permanently visible comeback on it when people object to them?

Just a thought... y'know, the rep system's the kinda thing the NF's would thrive on cos of all the being nice for being nice and because of being nice business... whereas it kinda scares off the NT's from doing what they do naturally... cos it sometimes involves not being nice.

And NT's are really vain, obviously, even if they pretend they're not, so in lieu of being able to be intellectual, and of being as good at being nice, they just kinda... fade away! lol

Maybe for those who are actually part of the 'cool group'! But I've never been part of the cool group, so it's old hat for me. :-)

[By the way, don't everyone go bumping my score up on account of this, because how it is now is extremely realistic!!! Me, and many others who are less sociable/bantering/playful, don't really stick out. Or stick out in a very serious, uncool, don't-raise-our-score way. ]

Awwww... you mean people wouldn't give points for good comebacks, or well thought out posts, or good points made? C'mon.. it can be just as much stroking NT egos for being smart too.
