Still though... that's an impressive ratio!

Apples and oranges, is correct. Plus,

    - Single-topic forums are easy to manage.
    - All the mods are doing is spam deleting and behind the scenes maintanence.
    - That forums been around since 1999, and their "Active Members" criteria can stretch back for as many years as they set it to.
    - The quality of the posts on that forum are way below what I'd like to see here, by and large.
    - By it's very nature, a team-specific sport sites will have a lot of shorts posts, very little content (because the game they just watched before the post was the content), a less educated member base, a difficultly for trollers because the subject is so linear (which is clear by the number of forums they have and the similarity between those forums) that anything outside of the norm is easy to spot for the mods.
    - Diversity, and the maintenance thereof, requires more effort on the part the Madmin staff. Because of that fact, we will always have a greater ratio of Mods to members then the site that you are comparing us to unless we become a single subject site.
    - Lastly, "Unsorted Posts" forum. Yeah, we'll never have that here.

    I rest my case . . .

It would be interesting to see what kind of emotions and reactions you could elicit. I have a sneaking suspicion you would have a number of elaborate strategies and tactics you would employ to "moderate."
