Putting it briefly, according to the MyerBriggs.org website: "The auxiliary can be thought of as the first mate on the ship where the captain is the dominant function".
From an anecdotal standpoint, the dominant function performs as an instinct molding over what is described as "the captain" giving out orders. In other words, it feels more like being put on autopilot than a thought that is being issued and processed consciously.
Is it at all possible that the dominant function is better described as the sail and the auxiliary the steering wheel? And the crew our other personal makeup?
