Would an introvert be energized physically and mentally from a day he spends entirely by himself?
Well, mentally, I feel energized. But if all I do is loll about the house all day obviously that doesn't do anything for me physically. Technically when I go outside & wander about I am not alone. But it isn't like I really interact with anyone, so it can be more energizing than draining. :P

Too much of solitude or crowds = flat batteries.

If socializing energieses you why would you need solitude to recover?

Perhaps it has more to do with being able to get by yourself and process what you've experienced. That's typical of my Ni, at least. I have to extract meaning from the occurrences of the day and get my thoughts organized.
