Default ENFP vs. ENTP and the way that they type words onto the screen

So I've made an observation that I believe to be true: I believe that ENFP's and ENTP's have a very distinct style of typing on message boards that really sets them apart from each other.

The ENFP style of typing is much more expressive: ENFP's will shoot straight from the heart and just let their words, opinions, and innermost values just fly onto the screen. They tend to go with their heart, and words are meant for means of personal expression and to openly state what they believe in. They don't really look at the words that they have typed before they post them either, and just let their opinions be expressed freely. Perhaps later though, they may check for word errors after they have made their post.

The ENTP style of typing is much different. ENTP's will first think about how to perfectly word a post before typing it. After typing the post, they will then reread the post several times to check for grammatical errors, and will also analyze the post to make sure that the idea was expressed as clearly and precisely as possible. In addition, the ENTP will also look at and analyze the post to see how the words that they typed will effect others. What I mean by this is that ENTP's often times will check to see if what they said will offend others. Now bare in mind, that sometimes ENTP's will use Fe for "good reasons" and actually try to avoid offending others with their posts. However, at other times, they will actually try to use Fe for "bad reasons" and will try to push the envelope as much as possible and will intentionally try to offend others with their posts just for shock value. Then they actually make the post.

What do all think about this?

absolutely. i don't even know what i want to say until i've said it. it comes out on the screen as quick as it would out of my mouth and in the same way. that's why the haha's too....everything is written exactly like i'd say it if you were here.

i didn't realize you all thought things through so much more. i thought it was actually an extrovert thing to spit stuff out like that....oh also...even my ellipsis abuse is because it's important to me to convey when i'm just pausing really quick...idk why.

i guess you need your logic to be concise and i need to be emotionally concise? or rather...just be authentically me.

yeah. i know that i write the whole text as it's coming from my brain and maybe before posting i'll re-read fastly and probably change a few words if i think that what im saying might not be clear to some people etc. and then ALWAYS after i've submitted i'll look at what i wrote and find mistakes, that i'll go back to correct. and then 5 min later i'll think of something else that i should have said and go back to add it etc. and this might also happen a 2nd time.oh well.
it's kinda like when i'm getting out of the house and i'll have to go back 1-3 times because i forgot something.

edit: lol (told you; this came 2 min after): i've just noticed something else...i don't know if it's a thing or not, but both me and @Lady X are writing in smalls caps, whereas you, @The Great One, start your sentences with capital letters etc and divide your words into clear paragraphs etc. now i'm going to start noticing if the small caps thing is common to all ENFPs or not.

what i think is interesting is how easily i can read other enfp posts. it's like super fast like as if i typed or thought it. with so many other people i have to stop and reread bits. it's just that the whole processing part takes a lot longer...it has to churn awhile ya know...instead of just instant comprehension.

I used to be like that. Then I got Ti-harassed on here and I learned to at least somewhat cover my ass wrt possible loopholes and places of potential misunderstanding, tension and conflict in my texts

Hehe, I dont bother in spur-of-the-moment posts like this

But, in posts where I feel it is important to keep the discussion on the issue at hand, and where I want to get my point across clearly and most palatably for the other side, I find it to be a plus, as you otherwise waste precious time and energy explaining yourself a gazillion times, deal with paranoia as to what you couldve meant and general misconfusion, not to mention all the tangents that sprout from it and the amount of time -if at all- it takes you to get back on track.

And sure, it is probably my so that is to blame for this

assuming i'm supposed to represent ENTPs here alongside entropie (couldn't you get @LunaLuminosity or @digesthisickness or @Blackmail! ?): are you saying ENFPs use it for expression (emoting out loud) while ENTPs type for communication (making a point/effect)? sometimes - usually when i am particularly involved in the discussion - but sometimes i will write to emote and think out loud, certain times i don't think of the message at all and i just go full blown mindflow or however that's called), quite often i don't reread what i wrote at all, and checking for grammar is especially rare on my part. honestly i think its really contextual, and you're going to get a lot of failed typing if you are going to rely on stuff like this - it's as bad as typing I/E based on how much someone expresses themselves online.

anyway - answering your proposition aside, you do seem particularly more interested in ENTPdom than any other ENTP i've seen, myself included. this might sound odd for other types, some types are fairly known to be quite fascinated with what it means to be their own type, to use their functions combinations, etc... but every other ENTP i've noticed isn't that interested in exploring their own type. typology in general? ofcourse thats just pure porn for Ti mental masturbation is fun. type dynamics? milk and cookies for the infant Fe. promising career paths? maybe. coupling? there are a few threads devoted for the type fetishers among us.

but no other ENTP seems quite as interested in the nature of ENTPdom as you are.

    what gives?

Well it looks like there is at least some truth to my theory. Also, I don't know if what I'm doing could be considered a process of logic, more than it is just using Ti to word things, and Fe moderate them. I'm trying to figure this out myself.

I'm not sure if small caps is an ENTP thing.

I know it's really crazy and just doesn't make any damn sense. I do seem to be more interested in ENTPdom than most ENTP types are. I was hoping to use to help me to understand myself, but that probably won't work now that you've decided that you're ENFJ.

oh i've being changing my type every few weeks. so far people really disliked the thought i could be ESTP, but since then i haven't really had the time to be more active and gauge reaction... and there wasn't much of it anyway. maybe i am doing it wrong... should i be making a big fuss about my type and mindfuck my way into why i could be this or that and try to get people to type me again and again?

after starass empire reached the singularity, an invasion of alien entp's started making copies of themselves for every bloody idea they had. the clones being exactly the same person as the person they branched off from, they themselves were entp's, and did the same, creating giant family tree's of entp's, who's subjective differentiation of experience in their inferior Si was quite resistant to ever merging back together. soon the economical waves of creative destruction and.. well, just destruction... where so bloody bad, that nobody was able to keep tabs. the government started hunting them down into a simulated world - whenever they find an entp they wipe the memories clean and throw 'em in, and so an entp is born in our world.

congratulations, you have an origin story.
