    Default Se and "bling"

I get the impression that lots of people think of Se types as somewhat poor, but perhaps it is living in LA but I always thought of Se as the "bling" function. Having fast cars, hot ass hoes, and big gold chains, etc. It's not just a rapper video thing either, but if you've ever seen the tv show Entourage I think you get an idea of the kind of lifestyle I am talking about.

Yes, that is Sasha grey the porn star.

Another example would be the Saudi Prince and his gold cars

or Donald Trump and his ultra-hot wives

    etc.

Anyone else notice the same thing?

I leave you on this final note:

For all that we have done, as a civilization, as individuals, the universe is not stable, and nor is any single thing within it. Stars consume themselves, the universe itself rushes apart, and we ourselves are composed of matter in constant flux. Colonies of cells in temporary alliance, replicating and decaying and housed within, an incandescent cloud of electrical impulses. This is reality, this is self knowledge, and the perception of it will, of course, make you dizzy.

Se dominants have a higher proclivity of it. Extroverted Se (ESP, ENJ) in general might lean towards opulence or powerful visuals. ISPs are too busy being cooler or artistic than everyone else. No time for that shit.

PS: women are not bling, either, regardless of how they're dressed. That's a disgusting attitude.

I'd distinguish enjoyment of quality and "bling" which is more about status than pleasure.

Bling is about getting instant respect from ownership. A big scary dog, a fancy car, some arm candy hoochie (yes, a misogynistic attitude, this is about ownership), gold chain, chromed pistol, all of that is potentially about sending a message of "respect me I got something (that you want/can hurt you)."

The main reason most people are buying those flashy Mercedes is for the logo on the front, but they really are very nicely designed and subjectively gorgeous. I think two people might like the same thing but they'll treat it differently/potentially display it differently if they are about sensual enjoyment.

I'd say sensual enjoyment is (duh) probably related to Se. Getting respect could be anyone.
Don't know how much it'll bend til it breaks.

Se's nature changes depending on introvert/extroverted preference. You're thinking like an introvert. Enjoyment for it's own sake is a subjective/introverted state of mind. Same with limiting your interests, and practicing the same skill sets (and moving towards mastery). There's an element of Se though that wants social impact, be it visually or with humor or power, or even shock, and knows how to press those buttons.

Just to add, Jung put it best (as usual). In the absence of judgment (the introverted functions), the world of objects start imposing their own values and principles. Rather than the world of ideas, or the standpoint of the individual. Se doms could easily get lost in this bullshit. The world sends a lot of materialistic messages, and some will believe it. But it's not like that's definite or anything.

His aim is concrete enjoyment, and his morality is similarly orientated. For true enjoyment has its own special morality, its own moderation and lawfulness, its own unselfishness and devotedness. [..]What comes from within seems to him morbid and objectionable. In so far as he thinks and feels, he always reduces down to objective foundations, i.e. to influences coming from the object, quite unperturbed by the most violent departures from logic. Tangible reality, under any conditions, makes him breathe again. In this respect he is unexpectedly credulous.

Maybe Se is the bling function in that I do kind of see it as looking to have an effect on the outside. But personally I feel like I use it in the way Bamboo described.
