I think it's not really possible to type a person with 2 answers. But, suppose, you have only time for 2 questions to determine if someone is S or N and then, if the S is an SJ or SP. Or in the other case if the N is NT or NF. So:

- Question 1 -> to determine if someone is S or N,

- Question 2a -> to determine if the S is J or P or
- Question 2b -> to determine if the N is T or F.

What would you ask?

F types don't always remember names. Or even faces. Trust me on this. Especially NFs, or maybe particularly Fi-users.

I'm going to answer this one:

1. Indeed because knowledge is not perfect until it is shared and applied on a universal level.
2. Taking the necessary steps of action to use knowledge in a way that furthers development.
3. We are on a journey in search of freedom and achievement in a quest to move the mountain.

I honestly can't answer the last one. I don't consider the two mutually exclusive. The pros and cons include emotional impact on myself and others.

1) You're solving a crime. How do you know when you've finished?
A. The culprit has been caught and confessed. (S)
B. A full account of the crime can be given. (N)

2) You and a friend become separated during an event and your cellphone has been broke. Do you...

3) Do you remember my name?
A. Yes (F)
B. No (T)

So I guess that settles T/F! :D

I think for the first question, I could see how B relates to sensing. Wouldn't an S care more about the full account of the crime, with all the details in place?

Any E/I questions?

1. Do you habitually project your knowledge on the world?

2. Define 'planning'.

3 Tell me about the human condition.

1. Not unless someone asks for it or I know it can be useful in some way.

2. Coming up with a course of action to get a desired result at a desired time.

3. Too broad of a question to go in detail. Which aspects? Also depends on where in the world too.

Relationships require both of these things but which is more important?
a) commitment (S)
b) compatibility (N)

You're on your way to a party and your friend asks if he/she can join. You:
a) call and ask to bring a guest (J)
b) say of course and bring the guest (P)

For the first, I don't think this is S/N related. Both are very important but I chose B because if I'm not compatible with someone, then I'm not even going to want a relationship in the first place. Compatibility is immediately the first thing I look for. One I know we're compatible then I consider other factors like committment.

For the second question, it depends on the person and how they feel about unexpected guests. I think I'm slightly more inclined to ask first because that's the considerate thing to do. I think that's more an F, particularly Fe thing.

1- If you were forced to watch a single channel for an entire day, and you had to choose between Discovery Channel or ESPN, which one would you pick?

2a- What are you planning to do today?

2b- Define love.
A- What do you mean? (T)
B- *Comes up an speech about parental love, platonic love, romantic love, and also lust* (F)

I'm laughing at the second question. I'm very introverted and I don't do clubs. But if I did, the first option sounds alot like the way I speak.

Question 1: Why is there something rather than nothing?
1. Life is meant to be lived. (SP, SJ)
2. A witness spoke a word. (NF, NT)

Question 2 A: Why is life meant to be lived? (for those who answered 1 previously in question 1)

1. The heavens dance from the sound of his voice. (NF)
2. His word directs the development of the matrix. (NT)

I don't understand what's meant by "a witness spoke a word" so I went with the S option.

Oh these are good questions! I just want to answer them, and then see what Jon the robot makes of it.

1 - Do I habitually project my knowledge on the world - oh dear, yes, though in writing more than totally up front.
2 - Define 'planning' - thinking a lot about something, where you want to take it, how far, what to achieve and why etc. Decide what to do to get there. Continue thinking about it, changing and perfecting it, maybe never doing it, but just enjoying it's ongoing theoretical perfection :)
3 - Tell me about the human condition. I could not possibly do that question justice here. It is complex, amazing, beautiful and awful. A war and a love story. Endlessly fascinating even whilst being entirely predictable and repetitive - amazing, like I said.

Were those answers conclusive, Jon?

These tests are not accurate.

So far I'm everything plus Hindu (although Hindu is accurate).

Unfortunately I'm too lazy to come up with anything better atm.

Here are some E/I questions:

1) Which is closer to your version of workplace hell?
a. Working alone in your office all day with no opportunity for any social interaction whatsoever. (E)
b. Constant interaction and interruptions by coworkers. (I)

2) Which error are you more likely to make?
a. Not getting your ideas out there because you were thinking too long about how you want to express them to the public and once you've prepared yourself, the opportune time to do so has long passed. (I)
b. Expressing poorly thought out ideas to the public you later come to regret. (E)

Agreed. Faces I can recall years later, but some people have had to tell me their name twenty times before I could recall it.

Well, my questions were poised mostly tongue in cheek (particularly the first), but I'm glad y'all found them poignant. Three very different styles of answering...

Speaking of the application of knowledge. Taking the necessary steps to use information. A journey. Freedom, achievement, quests... I'm thinking Te, Se, Ni, Fe... Is the proper function order Ti/Se/Ni/Fe? Te inherently doubles as Se, so is Ni/Te/Fi/Se more accurate?

Hmmmmmmmmm.

1. Not unless someone asks for it or I know it can be useful in some way.

2. Coming up with a course of action to get a desired result at a desired time.

3. Too broad of a question to go in detail. Which aspects? Also depends on where in the world too.

Similar to RW, talk of action (utilization only when applicable, results vs. time). I suppose the main difference is the inability to satisfactorily conclude the third question?

I didn't find it too broad, at least not so broad it couldn't be summed up in a thousand word wiki article. Though I see where the desire to be specific could poise a problem, given the breadth of the topic... you seem to have already nailed it, INTP with strong Si - though I myself still find you ISTJ, discussed in an earlier thread.

An NTP finds detail and runs with it; an STJ sees detail and zeroes in... which I believe you found simply too harrowing a task to do, in this particular case. I don't blame you.

Though also, I'm not convinced I know the difference between and NTJ and an STJ, fyi.

Ne all over the place. NxP, probably balanced on T/F.

Also, I like the bolded.
