My guess is: your score on Judging/Perceiving is 50/50. Is that correct?

Every test I took (which I have started to peg as somewhat unreliable) have given me perceiving results, above the J/P borderline.

MBTI sample test had me 10-20%

Ok, should you score J/P as 50/50, then you would be either INTJ or INTP, using resp. Ne and Ni.

    Have you tried Nardi's test:http://www.keys2cognition.com/explore.htm

Yes, I took that a couple times and got mostly INTP results. I got ISTP the first time (I think), and INFP once. The more accurately I answered the questions, the more I leaned towards INTP.

However I have thought such tests only give you an idea of your type, and doesn't really dig deeper; and the cognitive function results on tests can be inaccurate.

Ah well, is it really important if you use Ne, Ni or both? Maybe the MBTI model can help you to improve your live, maybe not, maybe not all the time. It helps me to understand myself and others, but not by using it as a manual, more as a reminder that there is more than I can analyze.

It's more as in I want to understand how I process things, so I can use it to my advantage (like see what jobs are best for me, hobbies, etc.)

I understand, it may take some time to find out. Since you indicated INTP yourself, maybe this is helpful.
By the way, Nardi's test gave me Ne and Ni both the status 'excellent use'.

I think I relate more to the NT temperament.
But for how others may answer this, no idea. I am hard to read sometimes. Some may say SP, some may say NT.
