i wrote this pretty quickly from the top of my head, so some things might be missing and maybe could be expressed better, but this should give a general picture about how the functions interact with each other in different types.

i would like to start with some short definitions of the each function and the extraversion vs introversion of that function:

S = tells you that something is trough senses.
Si = the determining factor on the sensation comes from the intensity of the subjective experience(or mental association) released by the sense perception.
Se = the determining factor on the sense perception is the intensity of the perception.

T = tells you what a thing is, gives it a definition.
Ti = the definition of what the thing is, comes from subjective logic and reason.
Te = the definition of what the thing is, comes from the reasons and logic coming from(or once came from) the external world.

N = tells you where something came from and where it is going to, perception trough the unconscious, where patterns and connections between things emerge.
Ne = creates hypothetical connections between things based on the connections between mental associations of Si and "projecting" them onto the external world.
Ni = creates hypothetical connections between all the things in the unconscious and coming up with an image of a theme*.
and here is a link to another topic explaining intuition: http://www.typologycentral.com/foru...s/55363-intuition-explained-short-simple.html

F = tells you what a thing is worth, by looking at what emotional responses it evokes.
Fe = judges based on how these emotional responses are in line with the external world of ideal worth of things.
Fi = judges based what the emotional response means to self.

*i will be using the word "theme" to describe some things that Ni does, in this context, with theme im referring to a group of ideas, which include many different things related to each other within the context and which can have their source from pretty much anywhere and include all of the contents of the individual parts of the theme. although more likely than not, the individual contents of the theme remain unconscious, but nevertheless have their influence coming through from the unconscious in the form of intuitions or unconscious bias towards the individual contents not perceived consciously.

the reason why i grouped some very different types with each other is because their function orientations of extraversion and introversion are the same. one important thing to keep in mind is that even tho these types share the same functions, they are different due to the differences in how consciously the functions are used. also it should be noted that even tho the functions group themselves similarly in those different types(in the same type group), the level of consciousness in the function combination also varies. for example both ENTP and ISFJ use the functional combination of NeSi, but ISFJ perceives the Si side of the combination more consciously and in more richer manner than the ENTP most of the times.

INTJ, ENTJ, ISFP and ESFP:

NiSe = perceiving the details in external world as they are and grouping the details in subjective themes, seeing the connection between the themes created and how the the themes relate to the contents of existing themes created earlier.

NiSe + Fi = filtering and "coloring"(with its value) perceptions of the themes and details perceived and judging whether the theme has value or not.

NiSe + Te = adding logic and reason to perceptions of themes and details in external world based on reason and definitions coming from(or once came from) the external world.

FiTe = judging the personal value of the definitions and logic that is coming from(or once came from) the external world.

FiTe + Ni = definitions and logic coming from the external world that also have value to self are incorporated to a theme(and the theme can ofc have other components in it not only these).

FiTe + Se = definitions and logic coming from the external world that also have value to self are in line with the actual perceptions of things.

Se + Fi = judging the value of individual components/details perceived in the external world and what internal emotional triggers they have. also adding details and filtering out the details that are judged to have no value.

Ni + Te = judging the themes in which the details of external world are intuitively grouped in based on how they relate to definitions and reason coming from(or that once came from) the external world. also adding definitions and filtering out what doesent fit the current "theme" of things.

FiTeNiSe = the final product that makes sense based on external standards, has a positive(as in activating) value based on feelings, can be perceived through senses and can be grouped as an theme and related to existing themes.

ISTP, ESTP, INFJ and ENFJ:

NiSe = perceiving the details in external world as they are and grouping the details in subjective themes, seeing the connection between the themes created and how the the themes relate to the contents of existing themes created earlier.

NiSe + Ti = filtering the details to be put in the theme based on whether they make logical sense or not and judging whether the theme makes sense or not.

NiSe + Fe = adding value to the theme based on how the subjective value of it corresponds to the value ideals coming from the external world.

TiFe = judging whether the value ideals coming from the external world make sense or not.

TiFe + Ni = value ideals that do make sense are incorporated into a theme as a singular components of it(and again the theme can ofc have other components in it not only these).

TiFe + Se = value ideals that do make sense are also required to be in line with the actual perceptions.

Se + Ti = logical reasoning based on details experienced through senses. also adding details and filtering the ones that doesent make logical sense to the person.

Ni + Fe = judging the themes in which the details of external world are intuitively grouped in based on how the emotional response to them corresponds to the value ideals once perceived in the external world. also adding value to perceptions and filtering out what doesent fit the current theme of things.

NiSeTiFe = final product that makes sense from the subjective point of view, incorporates judgment of its value based on ideal values from external world, is in line with the sense perceptions of the external world and fits in a theme.

INFP, ENFP, ISTJ and ESTJ:

SiNe = creating mental associations between perceptions from senses and what is in the internal world and creating possibilities of connections between the internal associations and relating them to the external world.
(topic explaining SiNe in more depth: http://www.typologycentral.com/forums/mbti-tm-other-personality-matrices/53137-ne-si.html )

SiNe + Te = logic and reason that is coming from(or once came from) the external world is applied to the mental associations released by senses and to the hypothetical connections of them that are related to external world.

SiNe + Fi = filtering and "coloring" the mental associations released by senses and the hypothetical connections between things, based on what sort of emotional triggers they have.

FiTe = judging the personal value of the definitions and logic that is coming from(or once came from) the external world.

TeFi + Si = contents for TeFi to judge from come from the subjective experiences released by senses.

TeFi + Ne = contents for TeFi to judge from come from the possibilities and hypothetical connections perceived in the external world.

Si + Te = defining the subjective experiences released by senses, based on external standards of reason and logic. also adding definitions and filtering out things that doesent have a strong enough subjective response to.

Ne + Fi = perceiving hypothetical and observed connections between things in the external world and internalized patterns that emerged from the external world and judging them based on what internal emotional response they trigger. also adding possible connections between things in the external world and filtering out the invaluable ones, so that only the ones with enough value are left.

SiNeTeFi = the final product that makes sense based on external standards, has a positive(as in activating) value based on feelings, is perceived trough the connections between mental associations released by senses and connections between them relating them to the external world.

ISFJ, ESFJ, INTP and ENTP:

SiNe = creating mental associations between perceptions from senses and what is in the internal world and creating possibilities of connections between the internal associations and relating them to the external world.

SiNe + Ti = judging whether the subjective experiences released by senses and the connections made about the things in the external world make logical sense or not.

SiNe + Fe = adding value to the subjective experiences and hypothetical connections between things in external world based on the relation between the personal value and external ideals.

TiFe = judging whether the value ideals coming from the external world make sense or not.

TiFe + Si = contents for judgment of TiFe comes from the subjective experiences released by the sense impressions.

TiFe + Ne = contents for TiFe to judge from come from the possibilities and hypothetical connections perceived in the external world.

Si + Fe = judging the value of subjective experiences released by senses based on how the subjective experience corresponds to the learned ideals. also adding values to things based on external standards and filtering out the ones that doesent have great enough subjective response towards.

Ne + Ti = perceiving hypothetical and observed connections between things in the external world and internalized patterns that emerged from the external world and judging it by defining the logic behind them. also adding possible connections between things in the external world and filtering out the ones that doesent make logical sense.

SiNeTiFe = final product that makes sense from the subjective point of view, incorporates judgment of its value based on ideal values from external world and is perceived trough the connections between mental associations released by senses and connections between them relating them to the external world.
