Default do you gravitate towards characters of your type?

When reading/watching something, do you find yourself drawn to characters that are most similar to you and your position?

    No.

I always admire the characters least like me.
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.

    I gravitate around myself.

So that's also a no. I think NFP's may have tendencies to do as in the OP.

Hard to say in fiction, usually the introverted thinkers. But in some cases, just a recognition of introversion is enough. I've gravitated towards possible INFJ's as well on occasion. That is, as far as some fictional characters can be typed.
