Honestly, I know one really geeky ESFP. She taught herself HTML, CSS, and Javascript... (I actually had her take an MBTI test, the cognitive functions one, because she was so very hard to type. And it does fit her, although she is not an extreme one)

I do know geeks of most types, although the geekiest by far were the INTPs, ISTPs, and ENTPs... But given how few people I've attempted to type, I've found some geeks with fairly odd types.

I've known some geeky ENFPs.

Nerd: INTJ (want them grades!!!!)
Geek: INTP (weird outside of school interests, yet still get good marks)
Geek2: ENTP (weird outside of school interests, CAN but dont always get good marks...can have so many random interests that there is less perceived depth in their separate interests and therefore appear less geeky)
Geek3: INFP (as weird as the INTP with outside of school interest, but much less likely to be as book smart in all their subjects)
Geek4: ENFP (weird outside of school interests, CAN but dont always get good marks...can have so many random interests that there is less perceived depth in their separate interests and therefore appear less geeky)

ENFJ ans ENTJ: if you saw their transcripts you would assume they're geeks...that they often have strange hobbies...yet...they just never quite get that geek label because as soon as their friends hear about their weird hobbie, its no longer weird and becomes cool because the ENXJ does it.

I'm an ESTJ and I'm a geek. Mostly because I have a really good memory for things. Also, I love talking about movies, but the movies I usually see are too old and too obscure. And no one is as nerdy about them as me.

I know an ESFP who's really nerdy. In that she's a socialist and always talks about russian philosophy. She's in love with the Cold War. (I also have an ENTJ friend who's like that, in the same way, times fifty.)

I dont know much about nerds.

I just posted before I need to get the trace back to the people who voted on entp and then I have to hunt them down one by one.

No nerd at all though xD

INTPs with the strong lead!

I'd say in terms of names each type is likely to be called by a bully it's like this:

NTs: Nerds/geeks
NFs: losers/freaks
SJs: teachers pet/Stepford kids
SPs: spazzes/burnouts

I suppose through my interests and conduct I could be considered geeky, but people so often seek to compartmentalise based upon such information.

I remember one girl on an E2E, (thats entry to employment course), who couldn't believe I liked anything that wasn't star wars when I commented on the film pulp fiction or how I enjoyed a nice piss up from time to time. This was because I admitted I enjoyed lots of various hobbies that might be considered geeky and she decided she was pre-disposed to dislike me based upon this premise.

"But people like you dont drink! I thought you just liked star wars and stuff, right?!"

Was a typical comment.

I used to laugh at her, openly, because of her foolishness....epecially since id never mentioned star wars. But it did get me wondering....are certain people intimidated by a catagorised person who does not stay in his/her catagory?

Is it something to do with control?

But the point is im happy to be a geek, fine, but that does not mean I wont be socially confident or that I wont go for your throat if you push me hard enough.

I suppose I am a big geek, but for me it is not a definer.

Nice to see such a strong INTP vote. Go us. :hexer: :D

Most of the geeks I know are INTJs. Like, a huge majority. I barely know any INTPs though - there don't seem to be many of us...

I think we hide from one another...and we don't look like we'd think we'd look.
The only other confirmed one I met was a muscly/buffish Italian white guy who wore jean everything.

I'm not a geek..well, I hope not.

The geekiest type is ISTP, though ISTJ, INTJ, and INTP are also very geeky types.

Take Boba Fett for example, an ISTP who is the poster boy for geeks!

I have my geeky tendencies, especially concerning anime and cosplay, but I'm probably more of a nerd.

Mm, the finer aspects of larid identification. P10 mirrors, tongues, tertial crescents... I feel like there's the making of a dirty joke in there somewhere.
