What types would freely choose this to make money?
What types would have to be forced to be found in this activity?

At least, that's my typical understanding.

Most also tend to be either male or female.

All top-rated comedy aside, this is about economics and desperation as opposed to an issue of personality traits and innate tendencies. Any type could find themselves in a situation where it seemed like there were no other alternatives and prostitution was the only visible choice to acquire money.

Additionally, drug use and prostitution are related, generally. And, no one has convinced me that some types are particularly adverse to drug use or drug experimentation. It's more a matter of environment than anything else.

All of this is based on a presumption that no one actually chooses to be a prostitute. I'm pretty sure I'm right about that, but maybe not.

i doubt it has anything to do with type but in addition to the things haight mentioned i've heard that the vast majority of prostitutes have been sexually abused as children. i think that combined with being exposed to other forms of abuse (physical and drug) and poverty are the main causes.
