Try being Fe-Si. The two most hated functions around here.

yeah that does suck. I was really harsh towards XSFJs when I joined because my dad was in constant stressed mode and also my ISFJ friend lied several times to keep up his image. In the end, they seem pretty cool.

I wasn't talking about you, Ms. Dearest, perish the thought! I just meant Fe/Fi threads have a habit of... simmering. And, for some reason, the number of ENFPs and INFJs in them is oddly disproportionate...

Yes, I agree with you there! I just wanted to clarify that I wasn't saying anything bad about Fe users at all, I was attempting to explain the differences as I've interpreted them. I actually meant the examples that I gave of the INFJ and ENFJ I brought up as complimentary.

Well I am pretty sure I am an Fi user and I have tried to develop Fe on several occasions. While in theory I understand what a wonderfully useful function it could be I have no discipline for it. The more Fe I use the closer I become to just flat out cussing people out. As a result I would sooner remove myself from a situation than try to go with it. Yet I have no problem applying my personal values in the blink of an eye.

If the op ever figures out a trick that doesn't just work in theory, I would be happy to know.

Would you mind elaborating on how your Fe operates?

I make a conscious effort to do so, but that really wasn't what I was asking.

Its okay, I don't hate them.

I really do not want this thread to deteriorate into which functions are better/worse, or why certain people with whatever functions are better/worse than others. I just want to know how/why Fe users think and do things the way that they do, and if I wanted to build those traits what are some things that I could consciously do.

I listed what I thought Fi and Fe were so that there would be less confusion, but, yeah no one's really answered my questions.
