You could try contrasting the two sets of traits:

    ISFP
    ISTP
    MBTI: INxP
    Enneagram: 5w4
    Multiple Intelligence: Linguistic/verbal, intrapersonal.

ISFP judges with their personal values on things they care about, ISTP judges along the line of an internal logical framework. ISFP's are usually not that good with objective organization or strictly logical structuring, ISTP's are usually not that good with maintaining group values or preserving harmony.

The only obvious difference to me is that ISTP's are more logical and skeptical of being partners in crime.

    Theory One.

Given an objective istp focus on movement towards the objective whereas isfp focus on control over the outcome. In general istp have more flexibility in regards to the outcome, isfp in regards to the process.

    Theory Two.

isfp have a harder time doing something naughty... depending on your individual definition of naughty.

    Theory Three.

istp use tools to express themselves. isfp use tools to express themselves... but different tools.

    Theory Four.

isfp make more emotional spies, istp make for a more hard nosed spy.

    Theory Five.

isfp will tend to play comic to the istp's straight man.

    Theory Six

    There is no theory six.

    Theory Seven.

istp will tend to feel this should have finished at theory six...

    ...or maybe even five.
