Can someone please explain (or point out a site explaining, if you know of one) the whole Se/Si/Te/Ti thing? Like what exactly they are? I looked at the stickied thread on the subject, but I still don't have a grasp of what they do, what they mean, or how I am using them or can use them. So, right now I'm rather confused. Please help me out if you can.

That's close to me getting it, but what's up with the shadow and primary functions thing? I'm not sure I get that yet.
