I started to read American periodicals and newspapers in the Eisenhower era.
I was in my early teens. I followed American events to the end of the Nixon days.
I was a moderate Conservative. A Republican.
I thought Eisenhower, and especially Nixon, had a sound fiscal policy.
Today my sympathy is with the Left.
I changed? I have not moved anywhere.
Politics follows the consensus:
The appellative is a misnomer.

I could say the same. I'm by philosophy a Goldwater Republican. Which today, I suppose, makes me an ever so slightly left-leaning centrist. I didn't leave the Republicans. They hitched a ride with the Ralph Reeds, Pat Buchanans and Dick Cheneys of the world and left ME.

Marlene left, too.
Left is right for me. I am left handed. :)

My doctor forbade me to talk or even think about Ralph. I get these migraine attacks.
Pat followed in the footsteps of King Leopold in Africa. Diamonds are forever.
Dick is a shooter, too.
He does not shoot straight.
