Default INTJ vs ISTJ determination with limited and specific observation opportunities

    Hi all,

So there's a person. They are a scientist and have learned to be very, very procedural. The primary location for observation of this person is in that rigid science-y environment. Therefore, the only S vs. N behavior that can be observed is in that learned or adapted environment...

...So: how do you determine N vs. S?

Ask them "So, you're really good at science, and I was curious.... would you say you are a more practical person, or a more imaginative person? What interests you more, hypotheses, or scientific facts?" something like that.

Ha ha well, say you can't ask them those questions because... well... say they're not real... like they're a TV character or something

I've been doing some more thinking.

An ISTJ has: Si Te Fi Ne which would mean the Te would be the most visible but Ne would be sometimes visible to the outside observer...

An INTJ has: Ni Te Fi Se which would mean the Te is the same but Se would be visible sometimes, and could be strengthened a lot with a degree...

I think this character fits Ni better than Si since she's not preoccupied with the past and connections but rather on facts and the like...

ISTJ is more concerned with the way things should be, INTJ more with the way things WILL be when everything falls into place bwahahaha.
