Being obvious:

Having purposes, intentions, plans and agendas that are clear to most other people.

Some who is being obvious may or may not believe to withhold information from others. He may or may not believe he is being deceptive, tricking others, playing others, etc. Nevertheless, he isn't covering his agendas effectively. Others can clearly see where he's getting at.

My general observations say that INTPs seldom have an agenda with their actions, and when they have they can be overly obvious or overly subtle.

Thats me and some general reading.

Aha... My usual agendas are about "nudges" towards the direction I want things to progress. This direction is usually quite vague to me, and more like a preference than something I really need to happen. This would make me one of the less obvious people.

It makes sense, INFPs being the conflict avoidant personality.

I can believe that. I was going to say I consider myself one of the more obvious persons around.

Would you see not being obvious the same as being dishonest?

ENTJs lean towards being obvious. So are ENTPs and ESTJs.

I'm always obvious unless I specifically don't want to be. Then I'm not always obvious.

Taking into account all the instances in which people disclosed to me their perception of my thoughts, my hopes and aspirations, I have to conclude that I am, as I intend, not being obvious.

Well, I would believe that most people worked like that, question is how often they dont want to be.

Most perhaps, but I think a lot of people are obvious without wanting to be. A shallow facade.

Personally, I want to be obvious with my friends most of the time, and rarely with aquaintances and strangers.

People often say to me that my actions and thoughts are really difficult to understand and predict. So, I seem to be not really obvious. I think it's because I either COMPLETELY rely on objective logic or COMPLETELY shut down logic at all if making a decision.

When I first read this thread title, I mistakenly read it as type and being oblivious.

I am obviously not an INFP so I am not obvious, so then being obvious is like candy.

I am however oblivious way more than obvious which is a pain in the buttcheeks let me say.

sometimes people think i'm obvious(ly superficial)
until they learn what i'm actually thinking

classic misperception that fun-loving = lack of brains
and that happy =/= serious or deep
