Yeah it comes from a feeling of peace for me too.

    I love your quotes.

In any case my ENTJ bf and I are good people, so maybe it doesn't really matter that much.
    Air is not intangible.

Hmm... But what if it does end well?
Then I suppose it will be a different sort of poetry, a preferable sort...

If air had not been conceptualized as a compound you would not perceive it through touch-- it would just be space. You only perceive it because it has been named.

I am speaking of air as a compound, not air as reacting to other elements.

Sorry don't know why I didn't include the INTJs in this debate in the first place.

Whut. I'm trying here, which do you mean?:

    a) You're saying that I wouldn't have a concept of what air was unless it had been named?
    b) You're saying a person can't feel air unless they know what it is called - air?
    c) I can see air because I know it's called air?

    I don't even.

    a)Yes

You don't need someone to tell you what a sandwich is in order to perceive it through touch. Air is different. You can feel wind--which is generated in reaction with other elements, but wind would not qualify the existence of air if it had yet to be conceptualized-- that's why I use air as an analogy to express the idea that there might be some things which have yet to be conceptualized and thus remain unperceived.

How did air get named air when it wasn't called air - how did they conceptualize it without the word air?
