    Default Type and dominant intelligence

So, I made this thread to see what predominant intelligence type predominates among each temperament, if any, and to see if that matches common conceptions (SPs are kinesthetic, NTs are logical, etc).

I apologize in advance for not including musical intelligence as well as conflating inter and intrapersonal intelligence, due to space constraints. If your dominant intelligence type is musical, feel free to post it in the thread.

I will not, however, apologize for not including natural intelligence. That isn't a valid intelligence type.

    I'll start: NF - Logical/Mathematical (aux Visual/Spatial).

NT - Visual/Spatial and Logical/Mathematical are the top two. Inter/Intra personal are the next two. I haven't done much to look into the types so I can't give more specific.

The "My Personality" test gives Logical/mathematical as first.

    NF here

    Top 3:
Musical (Music runs through my veins practically. Love music, and can write my own songs, and play multiple instruments.)

Linguistic (I enjoy creative writing. I write poetry, lyrics, and prose.)

Naturalistic (I'm a biologist, and technically biology is a natural science, so thus it applies for naturalistic intelligence.)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but naturalistic intelligence is a bullshit category. There isn't a nature-based cognitive process, rather you use other types of intelligence (usually logical, visual or kinesthetic) in service of an interest in natural knowledge, awareness and expertise.

I just took a test now. My top three were:

    1. Intrapersonal
    2. Logical
    3. Linguistic

(These were all very close together.)

    My bottom 3:

    1. Kinaesthetic
    2. Interpersonal
    3. Visual/Spatial

A number of questions on test I took seemed to measure preferences rather than skills. For example, there were questions on how much you enjoyed working alone, how much you liked to move around, whether you liked puzzles, etc. Liking or preferring something doesn't necessarily make you particularly talented at it.

I didn't vote on my dominant type because I'm not sure, but the logical, intrapersonal and linguistic are all quite high and the others aren't even close.

    Visual/Spatial 70%
    Intrapersonal 70%
    Musical 70%
    Verbal/Linguistic 65%
    Logical/Mathematical 50%

I voted visual/spatial, but intrapersonal probably ties.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

    This will not end well...
But it will at least be poetic, I suppose...

Hmm... But what if it does end well?
Then I suppose it will be a different sort of poetry, a preferable sort...
A sort I could become accustomed to...
