    Default Teach me your functions.

Watching circle's video inspired this for me.

In your own words, more or less, teach me your type's functions as they work for you. This can be via examples, or explaining how the functions correlate to you in particular.

I want to get a feel for the functions, and I while I've read descriptions on it all, I think I get a better feel for things when they're put to practice.
Kantgirl: Just say "I'm feminine and I'll punch anyone who says otherwise!"
Halla74: Think your way through the world. Feel your way through life.

Cimarron: maybe Prpl will be your girl-bud
    prplchknz: i don't like it

For me, Fe seems like a vehicle/tool for me to connect with and relate to other people. It's not all about social protocol. Actually, Fe in conjunction w/ Ni helps to bend the social protocol rules (depending on the situation). It helps me to build rapport w/ others rather quickly (if I want to).

Se makes me enjoy window shopping, gets me visually stimulated, and enjoy beauty in many things. Another thing is when I have an idea, Se wants me to do it NOW or else. I kind of freak out if I don't do things within a specific time period. If I don't do it, I forget about it.

Ti makes me critically analyze things and helps to me to notice errors in people's logic. Since it's not the strongest, I can't always verbalize the errors efficiently and am often wary of it. Also, when I get too stressed, I will overanalyze and will become REALLY illogical (jumping to the strangest conclusions and criticizing very harshly).

    k.

Fi : innately constructs what is important to me. Subjective. But not blindingly so.

    Ne : I'M BATSHIT INSANE

Si : I like the smell of cookies baking. Reminds me of Ma and Christmas of '97

Te : Quit messing around and actually describe your functions more accurately and answer the OP's question.

Fi : But Te, we already did. This is how Adoamros describes his functions and so they are valid and do answer the OP's question.

Ne : Te, you're always dragging us down. That tie is probably cutting off the circulation to your brain (if that even is a tie...)

    Si : I want cookies!

Te : Fair enough Fi. Ne and Si...Goddamnit you guys. -_-

Ti: Pulling things apart, intuitively recognizing the mechanics that give rise to whatever is being perceived. A need to know How Things Work, the absolute truth removed from emotional bias.

Ne: Recognizing and creating awareness of new ideas and connections that relate to the holistic framework Ti recognizes. An open-ended, emergent process that can sometimes be hard to trust.

Si: Gorging, hoarding, needing to know how things will occur in advance - a way of picking out stable, trustworthy details in a sea of constant data. Can sometimes keep me from moving forward and staying ahead of the curve by having me go over the same piece of information over and over.

Fe: Finding and maintaining a place in the lives of others. Ironically easier to do with existing friends, often a chore when dealing with people I don't know or relate to very well. A general distrust or disdain for emotionally manipulative people or institutions, especially those that knowingly lie or deceive others to maintain or establish social status.

Introverted Thinking: There's a plethora of ideas to be discussed here.

Introverted Sensing: It's a scary world outside my house.

Introverted Feeling that occasionally chimes in: I like it here, don't I?

Ne: the world is inspiring and interesting! There are patterns and links to create! What if those raindrops were made of liquid helium? What if our Main Character encountered a person like this colleage of yours? Whaw, MBTI is interesting... What if our Main Character was forced to live like an INFP? *generates vision of frustrated Main Character, continues with vision of Main Characters head where Te function is running up the walls,...*

Ti: checks Ne's ideas on consistency. Edits the posts before they get posted.

Ne: *generates vision of Ne function flooding my head with lots of scratch papers with ideas written on them, while Ti is trying to filter out the logical ones. As Ti's not able to keep up, some of the logical ideas get thrown away, and some unlogical ones get through*

Ti: "looks about right, Ne... Post that vision."

Ti: The world is fascinating. Its systems are beautiful, the architecture of reality a wondrous machine. I deconstruct the facades to stare at the strings, that bely a greater Truth, a greater understanding. Whatever I see, I destroy. And once I understand, I rebuild.

Ne: There's more to this. Everything is interconnected, I just need to find out how. Data isn't all there is, data is merely the manifestation of a connection, a link, a similarity, a difference. I must find it.

Si: Hold on a moment. Something is wrong. This is unfamiliar, my conclusions could be wrong. I am nothing without the correct Truth. Sit back, and watch some more.

Fe: I am terrified. What are you people doing? Why does this matter, at all? Please, stop. This is all wrong. There is no Truth here. Only shadows.
