I wonder if intjs are more curious as children in delving into the complete reasons behind things?

Lest I sound like some sort of freak mom---I'm used to talking about sex and sexuality in my work so it's just natural to speak frankly about it around my home occasionally as well, hence The Convo happening. Books are good too. Somewhere around the age of 10? he copped my Erotic Massage book and I figured I'd just let him keep it under his bed, as it's a pretty good introduction to sex and stuff. Better than going to the internet for porn............

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to keep an eye on my massage book My son is almost 6 but you never know when these things start.

I think that is the essence of Ni itself. Using it the way an INTJ does is my fallback though as I first try to figure it out on my own only to later fall back to using an external source.
    Im out, its been fun

After the initial shock of me realizing he was seeing sexual drawings, I realized that I'd rather him learn healthy and generous ways of being sexual from a good book. I think one doesn't need any 'education' necessarily in being sexual, and one could learn from one's partner(s) when one grows up and becomes a sexual being, but some are just more inquisitive by nature (inxjs, for one) that way and to squelch that might not be healthy for that particular person. Just as to encourage my istj daughter to take sexual education would be wrong if she is not interested in that at all.........

I am a strong introvert, but I was loud, talkative, very playful and just filled to the brim with the joy of life around other people when I was younger. There's no question that I was an introvert though.

People who didn't know me back then wouldn't believe that I was like that as a child.

One reason I was much more talkative and playful around people as an introverted child is....ignorance.

Ignorance in the sense that I didn't know about , nor did I care about the social mindgames that older people can play.

I wasn't worrying about being tactful, or the "proper social protocol," or someone judging my tastes as being weird, or someone misconstruing my words, and all the other things that adults are mindful of in their social interactions.

I was more or at least as introverted as I am now, and more shy.

Can't speak for other INTJs, but I sure was! The good old "Because I said so" adult response drove me NUTS as a kid (and made me feel patronized and disrespected).

Yeah I was a lot more outgoing as a child. I started being very ISTJ-like around age 10. It was after a stint with food-poisoning.

I wasn't shy as a child, but I wasn't outgoing either. It depended on the situation and the people involved, if I liked it I was outgoing, if not, I was more reserved.

As an adult, I'm still like that. I pick and choose my situations. But in general, I'm not a shy person.

Nah, not really. I was pretty much the same as now, have always been introverted.
