It's about as useful as an MBTI type you get from a 20 question Facebook quiz.

Through a series of google and wiki searches that went something like:

introversion/extroversion -> MBTI -> Socionics -> *passes on Socionics* -> Takes MBTI test -> INTP -> *gains immortality*

I guess I should have added I dove into the subject more after that, learned about function types, processes, roles, etc. I read about anything I could get my hands on, along with joining this forum. All the data I accumulated just verified my hypothesis that I was an ISTP.

Right. I just took that test last month with a dozen other people, and I'm not so sure everyone's results were accurate.

But there is Humanmetrics test on the web which I think is pretty decent.

I like that one, too... very much like the official test... however, some people - who are sure of their type - on this site have said that they received inaccurate results from it... so it's not fool-proof either.

My point is that: even though someone takes a test... they shouldn't take that as absolute truth. If they read the profile and don't relate to it at least 85%, they should probably keep investigating until they have confirmed it through more study.

It is pretty decent...I still scored INTP, by a 1% preference

That TV Soap Opera question needs to go :rolli:

Most people I talked to said this one was pretty accurate, too.

I usually get ridiculous results, but I actually came out with INFJ. Impressive, since I've only ever scored that on a test once before.

I did the test and confirmed it after i read the socionics description.
The test said it, but socionics confirmed it.

At first I tested as INFP, then I started reading about these type things and I had the feeling that the ENFP description fitted me way more.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.
