I'm such a novice, so this is probably a very dumb question. What is the difference in introverted and extroverted functions? I don't understand at all the difference between Si/Se, Ni/Ne, Ti/Te, Fi/Fe. Can someone explain?

Lets take Feeling as an example. The introverted side of the feeling spectrum will sacrifice factoring in pieces of the immediate environment for extra processing power (to go deeper in analysis). The extroverted side will sacrifice going into depth about a specific piece of the environment so that it can account for as many things about the immediate moment as possible.

Same goes for the other three.
