I wonder..how does insecurity show itself in an ENTJ compared to an ESFP for instance? Which type is likely to mask and express insecurity in which way?

INFP- conspiracy behind every bush.

INFJ- begins to believe that every human being is black-hearted and secretly out to get them.

INTJ- tries desperately to impress with their intellect, and lashes out sarcastically at every turn. It's sad.

ENTP- becomes bizarre in trying to find ways to be useful?

I am inclined to agree. INTP's lose control when insecure and get lost in their own thoughts, dealing with things abruptly, often completely ignoring/distrusting Ti, but using an underdevelopped Fe instead. Without the control of Ti, their Ne also goes on a rampage, and paranoia comes into play!

All 3, in that order. If I like you or feel stupid for overreacting, (a) will work. If I don't, go with (b) and don't push any further. In which case, you would also do (c) - but you can blame me to save face - I don't care.

I'm not one for saving face. Wouldn't want to make the same mistake again. ;)

But since you like me, I'll go running after you.

ISFJ from my perspective:
Conflicted on decisiion making. Uncertain about whether something is the right path, afraid that it may be the wrong path, afraid that there might be something better. Paralysis ensures.

Lack of action leads to lack of belief of own abilities. This thought process becomes circular and we find ourselves trapped within a negative cycle. Depending on the maturity of the ISFJ - Ability is usually correlated with self-esteem and worth so during a stressful period an ISFJ may become pessimistic. They no longer believe they can escape from things.

It appears that some SJs become complainers to counter act this, while others like me just go silent and become apathetic. But still the general belief that it's an issue that can't be resolved still remains, otherwise an SJ would solve it, wouldn't they?

This is a general idea of how insecurity can manifest in an ISFJs life, but it's only if it's serious and encomposes major aspects of their life. With smaller things, it's just a case of not wanting to do it.

I'll contribute what I know:

ENFP:

Tries desperately to appease and please people in order to gain validation as a measure for doing things the right way. When the intensity and over-the-topness gets rejected by others will overreact emotionally and feel betrayed, alone on the world and uncertain of self and abilities and may emotionally lash out to those that won't leave him/her alone at that point. May isolate him/herself from the world for a while, to try again, and repeat the same pattern. Ends in depression and loss of self.

I wouldn't say so, as the person is feeling insecure in the very thing ENTPs are good at, being bizarre...I'd say it becomes the opposite, and thus, we see a hindrance of Ne.

ENTP: Becomes emotionally hypersensitive. Emotionally lishes out blindly.

I can see this, but add that ENTPs will then get stuck in cyclical rut of blowing irrelevant details out of proportion and fixating on them.
