We don't get along anymore. Despite her being my emotional rock growing up, being emotionally and mentally very close, and I owe her more than I could repay for being here today, she has jumped the shark, and I am no longer fond of her (despite me wanting to be fond of her). Around my late teens she became spiritual to the point of lunacy. She's now anti-vaccine, anti-modern medicine, and in general anti-science. She is utterly incapable of reasonable rational thought. I once had to force her to accept that sea salt does not contain less sodium, and yes the package label was lying. It took a solid 20 minutes and I am quite certain she cried over it. She frequently asks me to explain science to her, I do, and then she rejects what I tell her in place of what she wants to be true. It has driven me very far from her.

We did not get along well growing up. We've now come to a level of more or less mutual respect, but I can't say I'll be sad when he's gone either. We're simultenously exactly the same, and total opposite. We both have similar aggression, bluntness, and a driving "get shit done" attitude, but completely different moral and political outlets, and completely different ways and value with how we go about it. We also have a nasty habit of telling people what to do and giving unsolicited advice. Since he's the father, he subconsciously thinks he is the superior one and talks down to me quite frequently and tries to not let me have my own independent thoughts. That doesn't work anymore, ha! Despite that he's a very good person who'd jump infront of a bullet to save someone who he cares about. He's very much a "show care through actions" person, which is something I am kinda blind to.

Dad is eSTP 3w4. Not much of a relationship. I'm pretty indifferent to him.
Mom is ISfJ 6w5. She is actually similar to Hard's mom in that she has a tendency to believe bullshit (that weak ass Ti). Only difference lies in her penchant for paranoia and abusiveness. She's also what you would call ego-syntonic, in other words, the type of person that is incapable of seeing something which contradicts their self image - in this case, a self image of being a "good" person.
I know...can't a mod merge them or something?
