If there's one thing I've been constantly re-learning about myself is that I hate to study something that doesn't naturally interest me.

True! Me too! BUT - It is good to train yourself to be able to do so, as there will be times in your life when you NEED to, and won't have time to teach yourself how. Just my opinion. :D

If it doesn't interest me, I try not to do more then 'just enough' to get by. I've managed this way so far in life, but damn, had some pretty close calls. :p

Yeah, thanks for responses.

Most of my problem with public university was how it so often failed to teach actual concepts, instead settling for rote memorization of arbitrary terminology, which would be crammed an hour before the exam and promptly forgotten, never to provide any real use in context.
