Ive been told that I have a unique style. Fashion is one of my Fi outlets. It's not so much the desire to be noticed or standout as having a presentation that speaks to me. It can't just be pretty; it has to challenge in some way. An element of daring that places a certain look a little bit beyond what most people would dare try, or could manage to get away with. Like, "Can you handle me on my own terms?" I like that feeling between vulnerability and provocation.

And then there are other times where I just say fuck it and put on a tshirt and flip flops lol.
And so long as you haven’t experienced this: to die and so to grow,
you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth

What i wear on a given day around people:

    black shirt
    blue jeans
    brown boots
    brown belt
    buzzcut
    stubble
    no tats
    no flash
    no jewelery

But i dress up the details just a bit, clothing that fits well, is generally clean.

If i really wanted to blend in, then i'd wear baggier jeans and looser shirts. Then i'm nobody at all.

also i want an excuse to post this picture, cause i think this lady is gorgeous and her clothing is really high quality.

This is what I do, though I have long hair and a beard.

You should probably start a thread where we can all post our lusty fashion pics.

    Or is there one!?

Sounds like you've got a good style. Simple guy fashion with long hair and a beard is how I like to think I'd dress if I were a dude, haha.

I do. I should say though, it's for my own expression + documentation and I'm sure barely anyone reads it. Regardless, I'd be interested to see if anyone else here blogs about personal style. Anyone?

I grew my hair out for a bit and I liked it but it also drove me nuts. Flopping everywhere.

So then I got it cut in a hurry (mistake 1) at a bazaar (mistake? 2), and they gave me a sort of Latino haircut. It's hard to explain but the way they cut in the sideburns and details on the sides. Not my thing.

Soon after I 'wiped the slate' and went back to just buzzing it again.

Because it makes me personally happy to fulfill an archetype that I envision based on my own ideals and gathered imagery.

Personally, fictional literature and art, mostly. Mixed with some life experience. People whose style I admire, usually people I know personally, not celebrities or popular figures.

As for the message, it's more self-expression, a flowing out of who I am and who I want to be. I like to tailor to the place because I like to feel a part of the energy of the place and become one with that energy, just like I'll dress differently for a blazing sunny day than an overcast or rainy day.
