Aren't you a peach.

I like to imagine you dressed as Doc Holiday saying that so I totally swooned! :wubbie:

This SP/SO description fits better than the other ones I've seen around, esp. the second half, probably cause it's specific to E5 SP/SOs:

Whilst I'm not a E5 I can really relate to that description too. Guarded yet friendly.

The guy I'm seeing is also INTP and might be sp/so/sx, too. It works, though, because it allows us the time and space to get to know and trust each other, and to remember that nobody's forcing any level of emotional intimacy before it's time.

I suspect that's my partners a INTP 5w4 sp/so too and I totally agree, emotional intimacy is something we're both protective of so there's plenty of space and time and when one of us does open up the other is respective of that and responds in a manner that encourages intimacy.

I don't think you are Sp/So EJCC. So/Sp fits better.

I have theses descriptions about Sp stackings:

sp/soc: The most straightfoward in language, with relatively little trills and embellishments. Points made directly and from personal experience. Business-like. Clear. Cynical. Lacking in internal experience compared to other stackings.

sp/sx: Comes out as somewhat heavy and gloomy, or cool and detached. Often gives out a suffocating and insular vibe, as if their internal world is wrapped around by an impermeable membrane. Strong sensory impressions designed to awake sexuality. Makes one want to linger on one or two lines forever.

Also, since 4w5 and 5w4 Sp seem very currents here, how much do you relate to theses people?

Pretty sure I'm 6w5 sp/sx. I've wavered a good deal about whether I'm 6 or 9 but 6 does seem to make more sense for me.

I'm almost sure I'm sp-first. Descriptions of 6 sp-first have made A LOT of sense for me, at least those which pick up more on the "going toward" and "defusing hostility" for keeping "safe". (I don't relate much to obsessively stockpiling food and that sort of thing!)

I'm a bit confused about sp/sx or sp/so, though. Basically - I relate better to sp/sx descriptions. But I often come up sp/so on tests, or sometimes even so/sp. I would probably chalk that up to strong Fe and societal/community demands. It does make me wonder a bit, though. Any comments?

Also, I wonder sometimes if I'm 6w7 or if I just have very balanced wings - 6w5 probably makes more sense but I often relate to 6w7 as well. Aspects of both seem to apply. I'm guessing a 6 sp-first would more likely be 6w5.

I don't think you are Sp/So EJCC. So/Sp fits better.

I have theses descriptions about Sp stackings:
I definitely don't relate to those; however, I relate very much to this one, from this site:
Enneatype One's basic fear is of not being perfect, therefore, not being good enough. This manifests in the self-pres variant as the need to "fix" the environment.

This type is the most steady, organized, and practical. They prioritize time well, pride themselves on, for instance, finding the bargain, buying quality, putting forth their best effort. Perfection comes from dotting all the i's. They tend to watch their health and to not overindulge. When healthy, their example of efficiency is inspiring. The pride they take in their work is commendable.

On the down side, they can become obsessive-compulsive. They can lose the forest for the trees in attempting to make their homes and environments perfect. They can also be very hard on themselves. The energy of this type is the most consistent. When their ideal falls short, frustration usually turns inward. Anger is repressed, especially with the Nine wing.
The description of So/Sp, in comparison, emphasizes the focus on other people as the thing to be fixed:
(so/sp) are similar to the self-pres/social in the respect that both types will be community minded, but the self-pres/social will focus more on self and this type will extend its focus to the group. On the down side, they can be judgmental and intrusive when their input is not called for.
I definitely don't do that. I take Hermione Granger as an example of so/sp xSTJ, and although I acted like her when I was young, I no longer do.

Also, my mom fits that site's enneatype 1 so/sp description to a T, and I see myself as a little bit more reserved than her, regarding anger and frustration at people. (She acknowledges that she complains a lot, and I acknowledge that I usually don't complain about anything.) I am capable of taking a step back and letting it go when someone is being insufferably ignorant. It's frustrating, but I am much more likely to be angry at situations, than at people. I can be pretty good at separating the people from the action, and not seeing them as the villains of the situation (like my mom does).

Also: I relate very, very well to this post.

So, I don't think I'm so/sp. But then again, on that thread about Sp being about mental vs. physical security, I related to the mental security part. I am at my most stubborn when it comes to things that I need -- be it some time in front of the TV after a long day of studying, or three meals a day regardless of school-related inconvenience. I can feel very intensely about those things -- more so than about fitting in with a group (or making them fit in with me). Given the choice between a party and a good night's sleep (after a week or two of very little sleep), I'm leaving the party.

Overall, you are too much engaging and extrovert to be Sp/So I think.

I've ever sent you a 1w2 So/Sp list of people, do you relate lire with theses 1w2 Sp/So peoople in comparaison?

So/Sp 1w2 are Margaret Thatcher for example. Cleraly the kind to put logic before people and to sleep rather spend the night partying. I don't think that means anything. So is about belonging and empowering toward larger entity, about status, social position, not about people.

Theses peoples seem a lot more energetic than you, though. I wonder if you are not Sp/So.

Cheers, I've seen a few of those and relate to them well. That Dr Dre interview is pretty good. I think I come across more laid back on here than I really am.
I looked up 9 sp/so, it was funny how different these two descriptions were...

Self-pres/Social
This subtype is the most self-effacing of type Nine, possibly the least assertive of all the enneagram types. They can feel as though they have been looked over and passed by. While they do desire attention and recognition, with the sexual instinct last in the stacking, they seldom actively pursue it. They feel as though it’s just not worth it. This subtype is usually very deliberate and methodical in their speech. They sometimes get frustrated because they don’t feel that they can say what they really want to say. They are therefore often very short and concise with their communication, not wanting to provoke any confrontation. But when given a chance and the time to express themselves, they can be quite talkative. While self-pres needs are important to this type, the fact that they are essentially Nines, sometimes causes them to put the needs of others before their own. When under stress, this type is likely to do busy work, anything that distracts them from their problems.

In relationships, the self-pres instinct combines with the merging qualities of the Nine to make a person committed and connected strongly in areas of security, home and other practical matters. They merge their environment with their loved ones. On the down side, this subtype can be passive-aggressive and withdraw under stress, holding back affection. They could possibly go long periods of time without talking to their spouse directly.

9w8 sp/so

They make good leaders based on their ability for grand strategy and a talent for co-operation. They excel at man-management and can handle/balance/maneuver a variety of personalities. Their minds are flexible and they improvise well under pressure without losing their strategic aims… Others may be surprised to know these 9s possess such qualities, for this stack enjoys being underestimated because it keeps others off balance.

Their modesty, amiability, and ability to express a bigger vision in simple and straightforward language is often enough to exercise charm over most people who come in contact with them, making them suitable for positions of power and responsibility that require a cool and collected disposition. Their modesty, if not the result of disassociation, often belies a true confidence in themselves and others. There’s nothing grandiose or pretentious about them….Through their line to Six, they can virtually lose themselves in preparations for contingencies and future outlines. This type needs more downtime to refresh themselves and relax.

They enjoy their leisure time as a way to keep themselves on an even keel. This style has both mental and physical discipline.... Despite the majority of them being introverts, they have a very externalized and pragmatic focus balanced off by ideals of conduct they try to abide by. They measure themselves to individuals of the past that have some subjective value to them. Their minds are factual and they know their areas of interest much deeper than they let on. They aren’t big personalities, but work their willpower without fanfare...

I don't relate to either of those much. So, yeah, sp/sx.

You strike ma as a mix between Clint Eastwood (8w9 Sp/Sx) and Charles Westmoreland from Prison Break (9w8 Sp/So). So yeah, it makes sense.

BTW, I think Hermione is a 3w4, not a 1w2.

Cool I hope I will remember where to find these 9w8 sp/sx videos so I can watch when I get home. I am fairly sure of the 9 and the sp/sx, just not the w so much, so seeing videos might help me with that.

Funny that you posted this today, since I was going to post something very similar. Also not sure how to know whether sp/so or sp/sx fits best, since I relate to either description depending on the situation/time/mood/company/etc. Pretty sure on the 6w5 and sp parts, though. *hides stash of food in the background*

I think maybe I would marginally relate more to the general sx description than so, although the specifically 6 sp/so description fits maybe a little better, so I don't know. Is it possible to just be balanced between the two, or alternate or something?
