holy crap, how do you go about that sort of detail? .. on what appears to be paper? Good work!

I'm big into smaller projects nowadays. Latest thing, just started today, is a phone app that does this:

Press a button, speak some words, and it sends you an email and/or puts the thing you said into your Google Tasks. It's meant for very, very quick reminders. It pretty much works.. just gotta rough out all the kinks in it.

I have what is called a swivel knife that you can use to cut as if you are writing with a pen. Was still a pain to cut all those circles and stuff. The photo is zoomed out so you can't see the defects
And yup, it's A4 sized paper but a bit heavier at 120gsm instead of the regular 80.

Nice. Speech interfaces are fun to play around with. Did some research work with it a couple of years back but the tech was not as stable/accurate then. So will we see a Siri beater soon?

Hah, I wish. My thing is focused on reminders, for people who need such a focus. A typical use case is whenever you think of something and want a handy way to get it jotted down. It'll automatically tag entries and all of that nonsense too, I suppose.

Another project: I'm trying to learn how to draw. Sort of. In that I have a "How to Draw" book that I thumbed through but got too impatient with it and did my own thing.

I do not take full credit for the dialog.
