Yesterday: homemade French cassoulet (Castelnaudary style), with duck confit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cassoulet

It takes a lot of time to prepare it, unfortunately. Humidifying and gently cooking the white beans can take the whole afternoon.

Lot of calories, I know, but it was freezing for the first time of the season in Paris. ;)

Trout filets (from biological aquaculture), with a light shallots+white wine sauce, and wild rice.

It's very easy to cook, this evening I felt a little tired after my birthday party.

Wheat thins... it's more leftover thanksgiving, make something myself, or wheat thins. So... apparently it's that for breakfast.

Half a frozen kung pao chicken bag + rice. Boxed up the rest for lunch tomorrow.

Desperately in need of groceries tomorrow... will probably buy fixins for minestrone or hungarian mushroom soup. It's soup season, I think.
