Oh god. WANT.

About $2.99 at most grocery stores (I went on an epic quest specifically for them yesterday evening).
Individually wrapped, too.
I freeze mine so they don't fall apart as easily when I dip them in hot coffee.
They're pretty amazing.

How do you poach a pear?

Make a poaching liquid of red wine, sugar, spices and orange juice and zest, get it up to a nice simmer and then poach the pears (you have to peel them first) in it until they turn soft enough to cut with a spoon.

They're good with custard! Or ice cream. :happy2:
