I just had some of the ham I made yesterday with the glaze I made. It's really good. I was worried the cut ham was too lean, but if so, the glaze has made up for it.

Not right now, but last night I had some chicken meatloaf-stuffed bell peppers from Publix and they were pretty phenomenal. They were the ones in these oven-safe containers you just pop in and they're done.

Mentioning because Publix is actually amazing. They have little individual cordon bleus and filet mignons they sell for only $7 each. If I wanted to, I could buy 5 of them for the week (they had multiple different dinners) and have dinner set for not that much cash.

Homemade iced tea with hibiscus flowers, cinnamon, goji berry and chicory. It's a weight loss drink my stepmom made, very apple cider like and not bad at all.

I've been doing a lot of soy milk shakes, with spinach, 1/2 banana, a few strawberries and chia seeds. I have one a day as lunch. Later I might have carrot sticks with homemade hummus, or chick peas with tomato sauce. I'm trying to eat as vegetarian as I can, and not eat any rice or pasta before dinner.

this is an attempt at weight loss, too. A dog mom friend became a vegan recently and she lost 10 lbs in the first month. :)

My grocery store finally had this flavor back in stock.

Made the mistake of letting Cricket have a taste awhile back, so now he’s all over me for more. I don’t like him having sugar or chocolate, so I’ve taken to putting a tiny m&m sized dab of sour cream on my finger to pretend share my frozen yogurt or ice cream with him, so he’s not upset.

Blue corn dipper chips, this surprisingly good combination of Target brand salsas, topped with nonfat plain Greek yogurt (instead of sour cream—trying to increase protein intake)

For dinner, I cooked myself a chicken tender, and for sides included three slices of watermelon, half a bowl of black berries, a cucumber in oil and vinegar, side of yogurt and vine of purple grapes....with a couple shots of Jefferson's Bourbon.

It's like my reaction when I first tried sushi when I was 10: "It tastes like a vegetable."

Trying East Indian cuisine for the first time. The aloo gobi, samosas, and roti are fire. Update: so is gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream.
